Hi everyone. Well I got my PASS from the school and wanted to apply for the CPNE today. Turns out my CPR is expiring in June. I go to ProCPR online and they issue me my card. Is this acceptable? It follows the AHA guidelines, so I assume it is valid for EC. Also, I have no clue how to fill out the background check so need to call on that one. And need my TB test done asap. (it's due in July) Will they accept a license picture as the "photo" for applying? I chose 8/31 as my date in either Syracuse or Albany. I got to the payemtn plan and almost died....it's all setting in now. I'm both happy and nauseous!! :barf01:
OK,just went through the process, have to update my CPR and get my TB test done early next week. Then everything will be current and I can wait for my date!! Still want to puke though.....

Actually you can apply with what you have (except for photo, needs to be passport phone). Just need to upload new copies when you get them, that way you will be ready, no matter when your date its. Did you do your background check?

For my photo I had my husband take a pic with my iphone then loaded it on my MAC and just chose passport size and they accepted it, so I didn't have to go anywhere to have it done.
I know what you mean about the :barf01:- have had that feeling everyday since I sent in my application and got sooooo much worse when I got the date.
That's a good idea Cathy. I had an extra copy of my photo from my LPN application and instead of scanning it, I took a picture of it with my iphone and it was accepted without issue.

I was a little concerned when I saw Boston nurse type that she chose 8/31 as her date.
So that is your ready date. EC won't give you a date until everything is in and 3/4's of the clinical
fee is paid. So just in case you are confused... your application says you will be ready as of 8/31
and will accept a date on or after 8/31. And BTW great ideas about the pics!
Good Luck!

Just a heads up, but maybe you knew this already: I did the online cpr also (basically the written test), but still needed to do the formal test out with a cpr instructor and dummy before the valid cpr card can be issued. The print off from ProCPR isn't actually a basic life support without the endorsement from an instructor, they issue the AHA card that EC accepts. Please call EC to confirm this but I just went through all this last year :) Good luck with your CPNE!!

Congrats! I cannot wait to get to that point.
Ok thanks, we have a CPR course coming up in town that I will take. I have the ProCPR card too for BCLS.
Yes, I won't be ready until on or after 8/31..I really want to finish...but I amnot rushing it at all. I have come this far without failing anything..I would not want to fail the CPNE because I rished.Plus I am doing the payment plan.
Dammit, so does this now mean they won't give me a date until my CPR is updated and I have paid for 3/4 of it? That probably won't be for at least 3 months?? I'm kind of ****** now. I couldn't pay for it all at once. Maybe I'll change my payments to 4 from 6, but jeez. Oh well, I'll just start studying as if my date is 8/31.

I received my date after paying the down payment of $600. Unless something has changed that's the way it is and that was only 1and a half months ago.
