Passed my CNA Exam today now what???

Published

Hello, I am in Texas. I just passed my cna exam today. I was just wondering how long does it take for my name to show up on the registry and when will I get my certification card. I would like to apply for a position now, but I dont know if I can because my name might take long to show up. Do you think I can just show my results that I have passed both parts of the test or do I just wait?

It can take up to a few weeks for your name to get on the registry. You can start working anytime after this point, you should be able to just show to your potential employer your passing results on the piece of paper that the testing site gave you.

Thanks, I am going tomorrow to fill out job applications.

You're welcome! Good luck! :)

I was on the registry in 7days not including the weekend. ... I was checking everday on the website once I had passed lol

Forgot to add I was told to wait to have my certification number b4 I could apply to places that require CNA certification

If a potential employer wants to check before you get your card all they have to do is log into your state's BON website.

I got a job at a local nursing home I actually start tomorrow. She took my test results as proof until I get my card.q

Use your ticket you got from testing to apply for jobs. It took almost 3 weeks to get mine mailed.
