Pasadena City College Spring 2016

Hi all!

I applied for the Pasadena City College basic RN program to start Spring 2016. The deadline closed on August 1. Since no thread had been created before feel free to join in if you applied for that term as well.

I have no idea how many alternate slots they have and I have no idea where I was on the alternate list. I got accepted this week and declined my spot the same day. Good luck!

Any other alternate heard back from Pcc? My scienc GPa is 3.25 teas 78%

I haven't heard anything although another person mentioned they did receive an offer already after being an alternate.

Arrrr I just wanna know already. I just called and they said that the alternate list is still changing because some people decline the offer but I don't know how far long is it going to be my turn. I wish I know how long is the alternate list.

Thank you. I would love to know as well. Did you happen to ask how long the alternate list was? I'm not sure how much info they give out regarding that. I sure would like to know myself, still hoping to get in there.

She wouldn't tell me. Me too. My friend who is currently in the program said that they actually call in around 10 alternate the first day of school. I guess there's still hope. Have you talk to the department so far?

Wow that's alot....but I understand people get accepted elsewhere or decide that they can't commit. And although fortunate....it would suck to not have any notice before hand. I hope to know before than. That is hopeful news to hear though. I haven't tried to call the department, they said not to call about status in the email so I figured they wouldn't give me much info if I did �� Have you applied anywhere else?

Yea I got rejected from gcc and wait list on rio hondo as well =(

So far didn't get into COC or GCC either. Then of course an alternate for PCC. I'm still waiting to hear from the county though. Rio Honda has a waiting list? Is it like the alternate spots?

Hi, I'm new to this site and read all the messages about PCC. I just called and they said there were over 100 alternates, which I am one of them. The girl on the phone said they rank the alternates too:/. So, I told her about the Jan 1st deadline to get in and she agreed, if I don't hear by then, I have to reapply again for the Fall 2016. Very sad and waiting and hoping to hear back but it really doesn't look promising.
