NCLEX-RN Feb 2019 Passed in 76 questions using UWORLD, PVT worked for me
I told myself that I would make a post after I got my NCLEX results. I took my exam 2/26 and the results were posted 2/28. I passed in 76 questions and let me tell you I left out of there feeling like a failed miserably. I am here to tell you that EVERYONE feels that way! The waiting time to get the NCLEX results feels like forever. I didn't do PVT until the day following my exam because I was just too scared but I did get the "good" pop up saying that I was unable to register. I only got around 15 SATA questions. I used UWORLD pretty much solely. Yes, I do feel as though UWORLD helped me tremendously. My UWORLD overall average was 59% and I had about 400 questions left in the Qbank. I did questions here and there before getting my ATT but once I got it I scheduled my exam 3 weeks out and I did questions everyday. I did 50-200 questions a day (more questions the closer I got to exam date).

Failed NCLEX first time
Please do not give up! As discouraging as I'm sure it is you have another opportunity and you can pass. I just passed this month. My computer cut off at 76 questions. I pretty much solely used UWORLD. I didn't buy the exams just the test bank. I finished with about 500 questions left to go. I studied for about 3 weeks. I did a min of 50 questions most days. On days fully dedicated to studying I did about 200 questions in sections (50 at a time). Always read the rationales I learned so much from those rationales. My overall score when I was done was 59%. In the beginning I would get anywhere from 40-55% on the blocks. The last week I was getting 55-70% on the question blocks. I hope this helps. You can do it!

Sorry for the late response. I think as simple as it may sound, the best way to keep up with the reading is to not get behind and read ahead. Make sure that whatever chapters are assigned for the week you read them before the week is over. It's also really helpful to read the chapters before lecture because then you already know what you had trouble processing and can ask questions in class and follow along easier, however it's not always possible due to having plenty of other things to focus on. If you are wondering if you need to read...you do! Flashcards are highly recommended. I hope all of you who are in first semester are trying to adjust to the demand, just take a deep breath, breathe, the semester is going to fly by and you will all be just fine, just focus. If you have any super particular questions feel free to send me a private message.

Excited is definitely something you should be! It's okay to be nervous everybody is. My advice: Just understand that being in the nursing program is unlike any type of classes you are used to taking. Being in the nursing program is truly demanding, but completely doable if it's something that you want and put your all in. The first semester is probably one of the more challenging semesters, in my opinion, not to scare you. But it's because everything is so new.... the style of learning, the type of exams taken, and in first semester you will have four classes which is not like the rest of the program. I would recommend using your laptop to take notes trying to write down lectures just isn't that efficient with all of the information that the professor's go over during that time. Make friends! Trust me you guys will all need each other and rely on each other. I highly recommend reading before the semester starts. I remember first semester the professors sent out the syllabus a few weeks in advance. I would buy the books and start your reading to get ahead so that you don't get overwhelmed with all the chapters that need to be read when the semester starts. So in a nutshell just come in the program ready to devote your time to your studies (reading, watching videos) and you honestly will get through it. A few sites I recommend for great videos are: osmosis, Khan Academy, and RegisteredNurseRN on youtube Goodluck!!!

Anyone in or finished the pre-licensure online BSN program?
Hello. Can I ask what kind of grades you had overall and science wise to get accepted into the program?

Over 100? That is ridiculous. They might as well just be honest and say they take the top people and the rest of the people that quality are put on a list in order of rank. No need to get people excited. Smh.

So far didn't get into COC or GCC either. Then of course an alternate for PCC. I'm still waiting to hear from the county though. Rio Honda has a waiting list? Is it like the alternate spots?

Wow that's alot....but I understand people get accepted elsewhere or decide that they can't commit. And although fortunate....it would suck to not have any notice before hand. I hope to know before than. That is hopeful news to hear though. I haven't tried to call the department, they said not to call about status in the email so I figured they wouldn't give me much info if I did Have you applied anywhere else?

Thank you. I would love to know as well. Did you happen to ask how long the alternate list was? I'm not sure how much info they give out regarding that. I sure would like to know myself, still hoping to get in there.
