Pasadena City College (PCC) Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys, I just turned in my application for PCC today and I wanted to start a thread to see who else applied. Share stats, questions, etc... on here :)

Yes he was e-mailed of his acceptance after the phone call.

I'm an alternate, but I really hope I get accepted with PCC because MSMU is so much money. I've waited so long already trying to get into an a program I feel defeated and don't know if I could keep waiting.

i Hear MSMU is a really good school though? I work at children's hospitals and ALOT of the nurses and care partners went to/are going to that school. Don't feel defeated, you're already in! That's a blessing, i wanted to go to MSMU but i got waistlisted and ultimately rejected. There is so many programs to pay off the debt, scholarships, hospitals have programs too. chla helps with a portion of your tuition as an employee.

Yeah, everyone tells me that MSMU is a great school, but I already have some financial burden and wanted to finish the program with as little debt as possible. I dislike having that financial burden on my shoulders. Thanks for the positive message though really appreciate it.

Did anyone who got accepted get cleared to register for classes yet? I haven't and wanted to register for the nursing boot camp class as well.

I wish I could take off work to do the bootcamp but I can't. I haven't been cleared to register either and I noticed that the Nursing 40 classes have some registered students already. None of the classes for our semester have any seats taken yet. Do we all get cleared at the same time? It's my understanding that the classes are pre-assigned anyway and you take what you get, rather than trying to create your own preferred schedule.

I really need to know, too, because I plan on working a few hours a week and my employers and I would really appreciate knowing what my availability is going to be like.

We have to cleared by Allissa in order to register for classes. For fall semester, we have to take nursing 50, 137, and 138.

For the people who got accepted, have you guys received any emails about the ATI product? I still haven't received anything yet nor have I been cleared to register for class yet. í ½í¸í ½í¸‘ This is disconcerting .

Nope! Would you update us if you do, though? Feels like its getting down to the last minute and haven't heard a word since they sent the admission packet.

Did any alternates hear anything today? Nothing on my end.

I went on Friday to drop off my transcripts and progress check form. Their main office at CEC was closed and I had to drive to the main campus to drop it off. They were apparently doing some kind of renovation or whatever for the new class. It sucks because I wanted to be cleared to register for the nursing boot camp as well as hear back about the ATI stuff since 1st day of boot camp is next Monday.

Guys the anxiety is killing me from waiting. I'm starting to get worried because my circumstances only allowed me to apply to 2 nursing programs. I got rejected from LAVC and now I'm relying on PCC only as an alternate! I hope we all hear back from them soon to all those still waiting like me!
