Parkland Nurse Residency July 2023

Hello. I wanted to make this space for those of us who will be new grads and have applied or will apply for the Parkland residency July 2023 cohort. I have applied and received an interview date (super excited!). Hopefully we can all connect and support each other here!

It went very well. Very behavior based. They wanted to see why nursing as a profession and assess how you work in a team environment. The interviewers made me feel comfortable so that was a plus.

I just accepted a position in the BICU. I know its not MICU but I'd love to be able to connect with other new grads in the cohort that are in intensive care specialties, especially coming from out of state

There are two approved ways to create a special place for your cohort.

One: create a facebook page. This link may be posted.

Two: Premium members may create a "club" by clicking on the Breakroom link in the yellow bar to the left of this page. Then click on "Create A New Club" in the green bar at the top of the page, and follow instructions.

References to other than these two avenues will be moved from view, to comply with the Terms of Service.

How they notify offers? By phone or email?

Email, and I will say it took a few weeks from interviewing to receiving an offer

I had an interview with ED yesterday but I don't remember them mentioning when I would hear back. I also haven't heard from others if they've got an offer from email or phone so that's why I was asking so thank you for replying, but I'm also curious what about like no offers do they email people to let them know they didn't get it?

 

 I'm soo nervous. ED is the only unit that emailed me to offer interview. I'm still waiting on other units. ?

Im not sure how they handle rejections, I only got an interview to the unit I received my offer from, all the other ones never reached out to interview, and those applications just said they were in review on the careers page until I accepted my offer. I'd start by checking your application status on the career page if you haven't already.

Best of luck! Like I said, it did take awhile to get a response, so I wouldn't freak out & assume you didn't get it if you did not hear back quickly
