Parkland Nurse Residency July 2023

Published

Hello. I wanted to make this space for those of us who will be new grads and have applied or will apply for the Parkland residency July 2023 cohort. I have applied and received an interview date (super excited!). Hopefully we can all connect and support each other here!

Had an interview for medical ICU on Feb. 16th, still haven't gotten an offer or rejection. Anyone gotten a response from ICU?

I got an offer from MICU. I would email the recruiter and ask for an update.

I received an offer from the MICU. They may be extending more offers since the listing is still open.

I have applied to parkland to a medical surgical floor, had an interview on March 2nd how long do they take to get back, is there anyone in same boat?

Good morning, ya'll! I just interviewed for the NICU Friday; their contract is definitely 3 yrs. with a $20,000 penalty if we break it. I wonder if it used to be 18 months. Maybe that's why it was swirling around.

Has anyone interviewed with the NAT department, how long did it take to hear back?

$20,000!? thats crazy! It looks like all the specialty units are 2-3 yr contracts with big penalty fee.

Depends on the unit, but from what I've seen is that they usually send offer the next day. good luck ?

I got an offer, I think their medical surgical floor contract is only 18 months. I am an international student so, my concern is if they sponsor internationals. If there is anyone you know going through same process please let me know.

I thought the SAME thing! Before I learned it was a penalty fee, I thought the lady was alluding to a sign-on bonus. ?

I got an offer 2 weeks later. It really depends on the unit. I'd say if you hear nothing after 2 weeks, then you likely got rejected.

Has anyone heard anything from L&D. I was told they would start interviews in march. Just wondering if anyone has anything back yet.

@Elsa98 I am not sure about the international student process, but when I was helping a classmate look for H1B sponsorships in Dallas, we could not find any unfortunately.
