Parkland Nurse Residency July 2023

Hello. I wanted to make this space for those of us who will be new grads and have applied or will apply for the Parkland residency July 2023 cohort. I have applied and received an interview date (super excited!). Hopefully we can all connect and support each other here!

Hi friends! Just wanted to give y'all a timeline of how my application to offer situation looked like.

-I applied for NAT, Mother-baby, L&D, and NICU on 1/19 at night

-The next day (1/20) in the afternoon, I got an email to schedule an interview for Mother Baby (crazy fast, I was surprised)

-Interview was on 1/25 in person on the unit

-Received an offer on 2/3 at around noon! 

I have not been contacted by any of the other units that I applied for, I'm wondering if NAT and L&D just take longer to look through applications?

Has anyone heard about interviews for NAT nurse residency?

For anyone that has already interviewed or has an offer. Did they mention anything about how long the contract is for the residency?

I only had an interview for mother baby their contract was 18 months

It says on the application...18 months

I had my interview back on the 25th and still haven't heard anything ?

 got an offer for the OR :))) if anyone is curious the contract is 3 years

Congrats!! I haven't heard anything. And 3 years?! They need to change their application that says 18 months then. That's extremely disappointing.

@dj_gn The CCNI position is a three-year contract. I was told that the nurse residency is a 18-month contract when I asked about it this past week. Maybe it depends on the specialty?

For those that had offers, have you got the official offer? I got an offer from the recruiter who said they'd be sending stuff soon; she just needed my "yes" or "no" response. I'm paranoid about missing something.

Yeah that's what my recruiter said. She said they'll probably send out the official offer letters in March or April ?
