Pacific Union College ADN LVN-RN 2020 application

Published

Hello! I wanted to start this forum to see if anyone else has or plans to apply to PUC LVN-RN this round. I have taken TEAS already (88.0) and need to schedule the ACT. Has anybody taken the ACT yet? I'm a bit nervous. Thanks!

Well guys I just got notification that I didn’t get in this time around. Good luck to you all!

I'm sorry to here this. How did they notify you and did they mention why? I haven't received an email.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Did they just notify you today via email? Have you applied anywhere else?

@JazzyNi I’m very sorry to hear this. Please don’t be discouraged to keep trying. I wish you luck in the future.

Thank you kindly. I’m def bummed out , but not discouraged. I know so many aspiring students that have applied to multiple schools multiple times and are still not in, my brother being one of them. I am only applying to PUC as it fits my life best. I will try again next time ❤️. Again Good luck to all!

I am a bit confused. Are they accepting only once a year. Or do they accept every quarter?

For the LVN to RN program it is once a year. However I don’t know about the traditional RN program.

OK great. Thanks so much, that’s what I thought. My mind started playing tricks on me LOL

@JazzyNi try retaking a class to raise your GPA. A few of us have had to do that to be more competitive. Hold your head up. Try again!! Good luck on all your endeavors!!

So sorry to hear your news. Always wishing everybody the best as I know how much this means to hopeful nursing students. I applied last year and didn’t make it and retook a class to improve my GPA a little. It is a very disappointing moment to receive bad news when you’ve already worked so hard to get to this point. Haven’t heard anything yet for myself this time around. Best of luck to everyone.

Thank you ALL for the encouraging words. It really means a lot.❤️

Has anybody else gotten an acceptance or rejection? I’m curious if they’re working by alphabetical order or something else.

And does anybody know the exact start date of the program? I can’t find it on any of the forms.

I’m still waiting also.. when I got the rejection letter last year, I got it around this month.. so.. I have no idea how they are letting the candidates know. Do you know how many people are applying to the program? In regards to the start dates, what I know is that the orientation date is in October. Then there are 2 days for the bridge program in November & December. Then the study and prep period begins in December & the actual session 1 begins in January. All of this info is on the sample schedule of the Nursing info page. I’m hoping & praying that we get good news.. soon!!
