Hello! I wanted to start this forum to see if anyone else has or plans to apply to PUC LVN-RN this round. I have taken TEAS already (88.0) and need to schedule the ACT. Has anybody taken the ACT yet? I'm a bit nervous. Thanks!

I am trying to get in! I tried last year and got denied due to a low GPA. May I ask what’s your GPA?

Do you happen to know if they go by overall cumulative GPA or the prerequisite GPA? My cumulative GPA is also low but my prerequisite GPA is 4.0. My TEAS score is 88.0 and I take my ACT test at the end of the month.
You definitely will be able to get in. Good luck!
Have you applied yet?
They go by your prerequisites for Anatomy, Physiology, Mictobiology, human dev, psychology, intro to sociology, college English, speech, nutrition and basic algebra and Chemistry. That will determine your overall GPA if acceptance. Minimum GPA is 3.0 but preference is given to those with 3.3 or above.

I have. I mailed in my application and my two professional references mailed the forms in. All I need is the ACT, which I'm nervous about because I do not know what to expect.

Thank you! For my sake, I'm hoping they go off of prerequisite GPA and not cumulative. Good luck to you as well! Two of my co-workers are in the program and they love it!

That's good! That's what I assumed but I tend to overthink the little things these days with all these different program requirements. ?
I just made it at their preference level, so I’m just praying I get in!

I have recently applied there as well, however with COVID-19 I have not been able to sit for my TEAS or ACT with the campus as everything was cancelled due to the shut down. Has anyone heard if they were giving an extension date for these tests or hold our applications for next 2021?
I just received an email this morning that my application and letters of rec were received. Testing scheduled for this month has been cancelled. The new deadline for testing is extended to June 30th. The notification for acceptance for Fall quarter admission will be at the end of July.
I still need to take the ACT so I hope to get that over with soon.
The act is pretty easy! I wonder how many people have applied to the program? Any ideas?
I'm glad to hear it's easy! English is not my strong suit.
I know that an old coworker of mine applied. I just sent a group text to my coworkers in the program currently asking about roughly how many people apply and how many their accept. I'll update once I hear back.
