Pacific Union College ADN LVN-RN 2020 application

Published

Hello! I wanted to start this forum to see if anyone else has or plans to apply to PUC LVN-RN this round. I have taken TEAS already (88.0) and need to schedule the ACT. Has anybody taken the ACT yet? I'm a bit nervous. Thanks!

Thanks! Keep me updated!

One texted back and said her class is at 18 students, which is also on the website FAQ. She's not sure how many applied. I can imagine it's competitive with such a small class of 18. ?

They missed 2 or 3 clinical dates so far due to COVID but other than that, she says that they're not too far behind. They'd probably have to make up those hours over Summer. She's LOVING the program

I hope we will be classmates! We will find out in July!! Anyone else apply to the program?

Thank you so much for the update, I just received my email about the extension for testing as well. It sounds like you have a great chance on getting in. I was nervous about the ACT as well, but after some research it seems the English portion for the TEAS is a little more heaving so I think the ACT will be just fine. I did go to the ACT site and download the pdf practice test (it's free) it has retired questions in the packet. I would do that and see where you are at and what you will need to study. ? GOOD LUCK I hope to see us all there.

Hi there! How is your GPA and TEAS score? Hopefully we’ll all get in!!

Hi there ? So my GPA is at a 3.0, and I have taken the TEAS VI or ACT yet. I emailed to have my name added to the waiting list once things start to reopen. I did however take the TEAS V and my score was an 86. I've been doing the a similar study plan with a few revisions so I'm hopeful for a higher score.

I was wondering.. Have any of you heard how many people are applying this time around?

I received an email today that PUC has decided to waive the ACT requirement this round. Notification of acceptance or non-acceptance for admission will occur by the end of July.

Glad they were able to waive that for you. I hope we will all get in! Maybe we should update each other here should we hear anything. ?

That is wonderful to hear, now I can solely focus on my TEAS. I do hope we get in, my fingers are crossed for us all. I haven't received any updates other than some of my transcripts weren't delivered yet, but that has been taken care of. I get any updates I'll share as well.

Hopefully we will hear something in 8-9 weeks!! ?

Hey guys any tips for the TEAS or taking a proctored test online? I’m taking my test this Sunday ?. aspiringrn2020 I know you asked about how many people applied. I’m unsure of the whole number however there are 14 possible testers on my email for this Sunday. (Maybe it’ll give a bit of an idea. A lot less than I thought.) PUC issued three dates within a week 20th, 21st, & 24th. I asked for a test in early June because of my work schedule, but was denied and told those are the 2020-2022 cohort testing dates so Sunday it is. Kind of makes me wonder if they are going to try and make decisions much sooner than end of July. Either way good luck and I wish us all luck!
