Pacific Union College ADN LVN-RN 2020 application

Published

Hello! I wanted to start this forum to see if anyone else has or plans to apply to PUC LVN-RN this round. I have taken TEAS already (88.0) and need to schedule the ACT. Has anybody taken the ACT yet? I'm a bit nervous. Thanks!

Is the TEAS being taken at online at home? I was curious how the TEAS would now be administered.

I’ll be at home taking it online using Proctorio through the ATI website.

@Tinamina.. I’m pretty sure @scorpiodez can give you tips because she scored high. So 14 testers? Is it all for the LVN to RN program or for the ADN also? I hope you can let us know, so we know how many we will be up against. Thanks!!

Hi there, honestly I didn’t even think about testers for the RN program. So thinking back during the zoom meeting those who spoke out only a handful were identified as LVN to RN applicants while others were not. But in my email it stated specifically for this weeks testing was for the 2020-22 cohort so it’s really hard to tell. There were 2 other testing dates earlier this week, however I wasn’t on those communications. Last year I was told there was an average of 2 applicants per available spot. This week a coworker of mine received her acceptance to another bridge program and said because of COVID-19 the ratio of applicants were half of what the normal volume would’ve been. Sorry I couldn’t be more help.

@Tinamina hey there. I took the TEAS in January. I studied for 4 weeks straight right after the Fall semester ended. I used the Mometrix book to help study. I literally read every page and annotated notes of subjects I struggled with. I also bought the practice tests from the ATI website and did those tests closer to the testing date. I mainly focused on my weaknesses which for me was English and Science. The Science portion to was the hardest and heaviest.

Good luck to you!

@Tinamina good luck tomorrow! I’m pretty sure you’ll do fine!! Let us know how you do! Hopefully, not many people apply to the bridge program! They only take 18!!

I too have applied: we should all be finding out pretty soon about acceptance. The admissions coordinators are great! Fingers crossed!

@JazzyNi how is your GPA & TEAS scores?

I’m not sure what my GPA is since it’s not cumulative. And my TEAS score is in the upper 70s.

Does anyone know the total cost of the PUC PROGRAM?

@JazzyNi did they do a transcript evaluation? They should let you know that your GPA is.

I’m sure they did. I submitted everything close to the deadline and ended up taking my TEAS after. With all the stuff that’s going on I didn’t inquire about the specifics of my GPA to be honest. I know my grades so that’s enough. I’m just praying. At this point I’m either going to get accepted or not I don’t want to sweat all the specifics. ?

No problem! Good luck to all of us who are trying to get in! ☺️
