Hi! I just wanted to know if anyone else got into the combined degree program (BSN/MSN) at Pace in NYC for Fall 2009. Is anyone currently attending and have advice for future students? I got accepted into Columbia's ETP program for nursing, but I can't afford to sign my life away on an excess of +$80,000 in loans, so I'll be going to Pace instead! It was my second choice for my undergrad (I ended up going to Fordham University instead), so I'm excited to actually attend Pace :)
Hi - I'm new to the boards... Can anyone give me insight in comparing this program to Columbia's ETP, CUNY/Hunter-Bellevue, or even NYU's ABSN (if considered). I was planning on applying to these as well. What are reasons you chose Pace over others in the city? Does anyone know someone in one or all of these other programs and what do they have to say about them? Thanks!!!

Hi sweetblyss143! I am also attending this Fall. Are you (or anybody else attending...) going to do student housing? Have you heard anything about it? Or if the first-year halls differ from graduate housing?

Hi Sweetblyss,
I was just accepted to Pace for this Fall... I haven't yet applied for Columbia's ETP (would have shot for May start). I'm a little concerned about the fact that I also can't apply to NYU before making my decision about Pace. I was planning on applying to their ABSN program to start in January. Are you familiar with it? Are there any other reasons you're choosing Pace? I just looked at U.S News's ranking of graduate programs for '10, and Pace's FNP program is #9! I guess I'm just looking for one last reason to forget about NYU! Any help? Thanks!
I need help to apply to Pace University as I live in Texas. My parents live in NY and I would like to move to New York. Can anyone provide me a sample of an essay that needs to be submitted along with the application? Please I will appreciate it. And thanks to sweetblyss for providing the email address for the counselor. I will email her as soon as possible. Do you think it is late to apply for Fall 09 session. I will be transferring from a Pre-Nursing Program though.
Hi All:
Does anyone plan to attend the part-time evening/weekend at Pace University? I plan to attend this program. However, I received the tentative schedule this week that stated classes will start at 5 p.m. I was under the impression that the evening & weekend program catered toward working individuals and people work from 9 AM to 5 PM. This is really disheartening because this may really affect my ability to attend. Is anyone else having this issue?
Hi all you guys!!
To those of you who were accepted and decided to attend Pace could you answer a few questions for me.
Do you think the decision to attend Pace was the best for you? or do you wish knowing what you knew now that you had applied/attended somewhere else?
How intense is the "intensity? I know an ABSN program is not a walk in the park but I just would like to know your insight into the whole thing.
Are there any scholarships at all to knock down that crazy price?
Anything else you would have liked to know entering the program.....
My number one choice is Concordia College in Bronxville but since I have to take the GRE for my backup plan for grad school I thought....hey why not apply to Pace. The worst they can tell me is no.
I can be contacted with by PM.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all!! I have just got accepted to spring 2012 CDP 1 year program.. has anyone else heard back?? I was super pumped about my acceptance but after reading all the negative posts about the program i am now worried:( What does everyone think about the current status of the program?
I live in Nashville right now and could use some advice! I am also waiting to hear back from NYU, which i prefer to attend but am worried about the hefty price tag.
