For those that have already been accepted, did you talk about your experience in the healthcare field during your interview or you just talked about more personal things that aren't on your application?

I talked about something that wasn’t on my application at all, but I connected it to how it would help me in my career as a nurse (I talked about a hobby I’ve always enjoyed). The admissions people there stressed that it should be something unique about you that isn’t in your paperwork. One girl in my interview said she grew up on a farm, somebody said they like to bake, someone side they like to hike, somebody said they’re an avid church-goer, etc.

Your experience in healthcare is probably more appropriate for the second question they asked (what would make you a good student for Pace).

My group was told one week, and we would know if we got in our not.

The main thing they stressed was payment and students not having enough money. 60k to be exact. And that your clinical rotation can be in NJ, CT or NY. Like they can put you anywhere, and when you shadow your nurse it will be a 12 hours shift at NIGHT! Very few people will get during the day.

So... get ready for the worst, lol.

I had no idea that you could be put in other states. They mainly stressed in my interview that we made sure to not fail any classes because we would be kicked out the program and they want us to continue our schooling after becoming RN's.

Yes, I had no idea myself. I guess they thought of it as being more "worldwide" like, you will get to see how different states do their daily nurse routines. But it didn't seem common, it was more like be open.

Because she stressed to us that NO ONE gets to pick where they go.

I talked about something other than what was on my personal statement but I made it connect to why it will help me as a nurse. I'm not saying you will, but don't talk about how u like to reality TV or Judge Judy even though, she is awesome. I hope this helps. If you feel really stuck send me a message and, I'll try to help you out. But I promise you the interview isn't wasn't bad and I have terrible anxiety.

Anyone else feel in the interview that they didn't like us mentioning our past medical experience? That is how I answered the second question but afterwards they stressed the importance of coming into the program with a fresh mind and not trying to use our past experience to help us. I don't fully disagree but I don't know how I would've answered the second question without going into my medical experience.

Yes!!! I felt the exact same way. I feel like they wanted us to talk more about things we like outside of work, but all they stressed was how we will have no time to do anything but study, go to class and go to clinical, so why bother telling them about our hobbies if we won’t even have time for them for the next 11 months? Did you interview October 1?

I interviewed 9/24 and got the same vibe from them. Maybe they're just tired of hearing the majority of applicants talk about their medical experience and maybe they want people to try and say something different for once? That would be my guess. Either that or they simply just want to warn applicants that this program is like nothing we've done before.

Also this interview was really just a way to get an idea about who each of us are, considering only so much character can come through on paper, so maybe they just wanted to see what we had to say about ourselves as students?

I kind of feel like for the second question they wanted to know your strengths and how they would make you a good fit for their nursing program.

For those admitted, has anyone received the paper acceptance yet? I interviewed the 17th and was accepted on the portal but haven’t received an actual copy yet.

I was accepted also, and never received a letter in the mail. I didn't expect to get one.

Curious about the denials. Is anyone in here who was denied and what was the process? I see the interview date I had already received their acceptances but I never got an email of denial or a letter in the mail yet. My status is still the original checklist and never changed to awaiting or decision made. It's confusing. I am going to email at the end of the week if I don't receive a letter. I was accepted to another great program and paid my deposit because the deadline was this week but was hoping to hear from other schools as well.
