Hiyaaa! I wanted to start a thread for all the students applying for the spring 2020 ABSN program at pace. Feel free to ask and answer questions regarding the program, good luck to everyone!!
Hey everyone !
I m so nervous, I applied on the 14th of September but I don’t have a 3.0 GPA. I did horrible my first semester undergrad and it have been haunting me ever since. I did however retook all my prerequisites where I had an C and got A’s And B’s. I got for a job working I direct patient care , so I could familiarize my self with the field . In addition, I enrolled and completed an LPN program passing HESI exit exam with a 95.55 percentile (1092/1400). As an lpn student I got over 300 clinical experience, which includes. Trach care, stage 4 pressure wound care, NG tube feeding, med administration etc.... I really hope I can still be consider be judge fairly and not base on one mistake, which I ve learned and improved from. Finger crossed.

I’m thinking that since you submitted your application on the 14th, you should be fine. The deadline was 15th.
Regarding CGPA, their website states minimum of 3.0.
I am hoping you’ve done and submitted all pertinent prerequisites. If yes, then you shouldn’t have a problem with that part. Do you have a bachelor degree in any field?
To sum, i don’t think they are still scheduling applicants for interviews. Incase you’ve not received any interview notification, you might want call and ask them why. I would paraphrase what one member stated earlier, “not all the applicants eventually qualified for the interview.”
Don’t give up! If you don’t hear from them. Don’t be sad! try other schools !

There were 12 of us! I’m not sure what the maximum is for each interview slot, but mine had 12 applicants (including myself).
There were also 3 admissions committee members and one faculty member from the nursing dept (I don’t think she was doing any “judging” she was just there to help answer questions and tell us more about the program/what to expect after the interview).

Thank you for the support, it really means a lot to me. As for the prerequisite, I do have all of my prerequisites. I have a bachelor in health science concentration public health. I will follow up on Monday and see what they say. Once again, thank you!
My group was told one week, and we would know if we got in our not.
The main thing they stressed was payment and students not having enough money. 60k to be exact. And that your clinical rotation can be in NJ, CT or NY. Like they can put you anywhere, and when you shadow your nurse it will be a 12 hours shift at NIGHT! Very few people will get during the day.
So... get ready for the worst, lol.

Hey! I interviewed on 9/24 and I literally just saw that I was accepted!
I logged into the application portal and the status went from "Awaiting Decision" to "Decided" and there was a little spot highlighted that said something like "an update has been made to your application. Click here to view status" and an acceptance letter loaded!
I didn't get an email in my gmail like I thought I was going to (since they told us we would get an email if accepted). I'm not sure if I will eventually or if they just mean an "email" on the application portal.
Point being, make sure to check the portal!
