OU Traditional BSN Fall 2016

I haven't seen a thread for it, so I thought I'd start one...has anyone else applied for OU's Fall 2016 Traditional BSN program?! :) I applied to all 3 campuses!

Yeah, it's like 1 in 3 odds which aren't too bad as long as you have a good GPA. I have a 4.0 but I'm coming from a community college and I still have 15 hours to complete at the time I submitted my application which are both things you get counted down on so we'll see. I hope they let us know this week. I'm going crazyyyyy!

Well that number is good if some of those people also applied to OKC. I think OKC accepts double what Tulsa does.

I also know some people who are going to decline their spots if they are accepted. So that's also a plus.

Oh and also at the nursing sneak peak, they said that they had already brought 12 people from the waiting list on for the Accelerated BSN program that had started like 2 or 3 months earlier. And she said that it was pretty typical for them to get that far down there waitlost. So if one of us get wait listed we still have a fighting chance to get in :)

Yep we do. My friend was wait listed last year and she got called to go to Lawton mid June.

Did your friend go to OU??? A while ago I had heard of people here getting off the waiting lists with overall/science GPAs as low as in the upper 2 point range in the middle of summer (usually for Lawton)!

Yes, she did. Her GPA didn't drop that low but it definitely dropped to a low 3 point average.

I got an alternate spot, but I am still excited since I have a friend who was in my position a year ago.

I got on the wait list for Tulsa! Better than a rejection. I am still completing my prereqs, so I was prepared for this.

Congrats to everyone would got in! Who knows, I might end up seeing you in the fall. :)
