OU Traditional BSN Fall 2016

@sunshine349, I applied for early admission because I'm an OU student. The decisions for that went out back in November. It's just a way OU students can find out earlier than people at other schools if they're in OU's school of nursing or not. To those they don't admit during early admission, they automatically defer to this regular admission cycle. I didn't even have to reapply or anything. So those that got in November are already in. That being said, I don't know if they give you preference for just having tried to apply early. I know they give preference for OU students/students who did their sciences/other prerequisites at OU during this regular admission cycle. I don't know how significant that preference is though.

Thankfully I am not the only impatient one lol. I'm suuuuuuper ready to know as well. I know someone who tried to call on Monday and couldn't get a hold of anyone who knew anything about admissions. Ah!! I just wanna hear a realistic timeframe from someone for when we can hear back... Mid April seems so late..

Just got this random email from the nursing advisor about pre-nursing advising, and inside the email it said this.

If you applied for August 2016 BSN regular admission, the wait is almost over. Admission decisions will be released in the next 1-2 weeks, decisions will be emailed to the email address listed on your NursingCAS application.

NOOOO, MORE WAITING!! Lol. At least we know now.

I emailed them Tuesday and she said it won't be in the next 7-10 days. So I'm guessing it will be the 13th, 14th, or the 15th. It's so frustrating! I emailed someone at Tulsa though and she isn't over admissions. She was going off of what she's been told, so maybe someone should email OKC and get a more accurate date?

The nursing advisor that emailed me has her office at the OUHSC in OKC. Looks like it's really going to be mid April...crazy how much later this is than other years!

I know! So that email came from your nursing advisor at OU you've been seeing for undergrad? I didn't get that so I wanna make sure I'm getting the emails I'm supposed to...I think I'm just getting anxious/paranoid at this point. Hopefully it will be the 1 week mark we get decisions instead of the 2 week. I think it's gonna be on a Thursday or Friday judging by other years.
