OU ABSN 2018 (2017 Applicant)

Hey there! I am looking to apply this fall for the 2018 OU ABSN program. Any others find their way here yet?

I am still finishing up my first bachelor's degree but will be done in Dec. 2017. I was told that I can still apply in the fall.

I am expecting rejection or waitlisted due to the fact that I won't be finished with my degree, and my cumulative gpa is pretty rough. Hoping to have a 4.0 in last 60 and a 4.0 in Science with a pre-reqs completed to give myself a shot.

Would love to find others on this same journey!

I called the College of Nursing, and they said that orientation for Lawton will be soon (she did not have a date). Tulsa and OKC orientation will be closer to class start date, and not in the next couple of weeks.

Hi guys! Are there any females who got accepted to the Lawton campus that need a roommate? If so please let me know! Looking for a clean and responsible roommate to share the bills with! Preferably someone who is in the same situation as me, just there to study and complete the program. Awesome! I tried to message you but the browser on my phone is acting weird. If figure the more people we know going in the better it will be, since it is such an intense program. Hopefully someone will creat a Facebook group so we can all connect (I can't for work reasons - they don't know I'm leaving yet).

That's good to know! Though I wish they would give us a timeframe for the other campuses. I finally got my login info but when I try to view anything for orientation it says access denied.

Question for those who are accepted and doing financial aid - did you already apply for it? I know traditionally summer is part of the current school year but with the accelerated program I'm not sure if it will be the same.

I plan to email Debbie or Angela and ask but I wanted to give them a few days. However I don't want to wait till last minute!

I just did my 17-18 FAFSA about a week ago, but I need guidance for sure. It's been a long time since I've done this. I plan to go to the financial aid office after I file my 2017 taxes to talk to a counselor about it.

I got an email saying I was accepted to The Tulsa ABSN program for 2018. Do we just wait in limbo now? I was told they marked me as accepted. I haven't paid any fees or anything. Do I need to call someone? If so whom should I call? Thank you for any information.

If Tulsa is the same as OKC then you should have gotten a second email and followed the directions in it to pay your deposit. If you didn't get a second email check your spam folder. I didn't have a problem getting the first or second emails, but the next one to set up my OUHSC email account went to spam for some reason. So who knows?

I was able to accept and pay my deposit by going to the application website, logging in and going to application status. From there it had a letter and an option to accept and instruction to pay the deposit.

has anyone got their second email from "secureOUIT" to set up their username and password? I just got their first email, but not second.
