Hey there! I am looking to apply this fall for the 2018 OU ABSN program. Any others find their way here yet?
I am still finishing up my first bachelor's degree but will be done in Dec. 2017. I was told that I can still apply in the fall.
I am expecting rejection or waitlisted due to the fact that I won't be finished with my degree, and my cumulative gpa is pretty rough. Hoping to have a 4.0 in last 60 and a 4.0 in Science with a pre-reqs completed to give myself a shot.
Well she told me that they had my application Marked as 2 prerequisites incomplete/missing. So I'd say yes that means my app was miscalculated. I applied last year too and those same course were counted as complete when I applied last year. So something was mishandled and screwed up.
They don't tell you. There also supposedly isn't like a numbered waitlist. Like you can't email and ask what number you are. They don't do that, so I've been told in the past. When I emailed last year to ask if spots had opened up they wouldn't tell me how many but just said several had opened and already been filled
Yeah I read that on the website. I wonder how many people actually accepted their offers, especially with the amount of time the school spent before sending notifications.
Right Ive been trying to figure out where the summer start information for orientation is.
So I heard from Angela about orientation for summer start classes - see below. I'm following up with her to see 1) how much notice they will give on orientation (I'm planning a wedding in May and my work doesn't know that I'm quitting so I need to be able to ask off) and 2) if we need to enroll or do anything else besides collect the information under the self-serve portal and wait for orientation.
Since they were so behind I feel like all the information is all over the place and it would be nice to have it in one spot!
You'll receive email regarding Orientation later in the Spring. Orientation for Summer start ABSN students will take place in April or May. You are welcome to upload documents into self service; we will be checking those following Orientation.
