OSU Grad Entry 2021

Published

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am apply in August 2020 for Summer 2021! I am so very excited about this opportunity, as it will allow me to become a CNM in 3-4 years rather than 10-12 (ish) years (getting an ASN, 1-2 years to get into L&D as a nurse, 1-2 years of L&D experience/get BSN, and finally MSN program). I have huge dreams, but it all starts here. I am super nervous about admissions because I didn't do too amazing during my undergrad (I was young and just doing it to have a degree) and graduated with a 2.8. I did do pretty well with my graduate degree (3.8), so i am hoping that will help. I called and he said that not having a 3.0 in undergrad won't disqualify me. I have also gotten A's in each of the pre-reqs that I have taken so far (though I am taking pharm this semester).

I look forward to hearing feedback and also connect with other students who are applying this year as well.

@Cdizzle grad entry neonatal. I've been a medical laboratory scientist for 8 years. I applied almost 7 yrs ago was a lot younger then and really not sure what I wanted, just applied honestly to find a master's program but really I needed a break and to figure out what I wanted. But anyways applied for the FNP grad entry and didn't put a lot of thought into the application process. My statement was horrible. So obviously I didn't get in. But I got my results at 2345 on a Friday. And from other forums I've seen it's posted on the weekends.

Oh what the heck how do they post it at almost midnight?! Are they working then?! I hope you get in this time! Neonatal is such an amazing specialty

@Cdizzle I think it's like an auto posting. Me too. I'm actually happy I didn't get I to FNP. It's not for me. I love babies and I'm very passionate about the neonatal field, but it took me years to find that self discovery.

Tried to login this morning and it currently it says “service unavailable” hopefully that means they are in the process of posting decisions, good luck again to everyone!

Mine is as well.

Does anyone know, once accepted they have a student event on the Feb 25 and I heard in the past they have like a gathering (food and drinks) with current students. Will this happen this year with COVID?

I believe they said they are not giving decision until the end of Feb! Mine is still pending as well.

@Kimrhia I would not think they are doing any "in-person" type gatherings due to COVID. Especially a mingling event, but I could be wrong!

Good luck to everyone! Fingers crossed for acceptances ????

Who else is like????? Where are the decisions ??? seriously nerve wrecking

@Kimrhia I woke up this morning feeling the same way. This is so nerve-wrecking...?

@Chiefsim if you look at the past forum, they found out February 27th but not everyone. I think it depends on the specialty and the program. Are you in the direct entry? I noticed some people on here are in the BSN to MSN and some DNP

@Kimrhia I am a graduate entry applicant. Are you a direct entry applicant?
