OSU Grad Entry 2021

Published

Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am apply in August 2020 for Summer 2021! I am so very excited about this opportunity, as it will allow me to become a CNM in 3-4 years rather than 10-12 (ish) years (getting an ASN, 1-2 years to get into L&D as a nurse, 1-2 years of L&D experience/get BSN, and finally MSN program). I have huge dreams, but it all starts here. I am super nervous about admissions because I didn't do too amazing during my undergrad (I was young and just doing it to have a degree) and graduated with a 2.8. I did do pretty well with my graduate degree (3.8), so i am hoping that will help. I called and he said that not having a 3.0 in undergrad won't disqualify me. I have also gotten A's in each of the pre-reqs that I have taken so far (though I am taking pharm this semester).

I look forward to hearing feedback and also connect with other students who are applying this year as well.

I wonder if during the interview they give you time to think of your answers before recording your response or if it begins recording and then gives you the prompts?

From what I’ve heard, there is a chance to collect your thoughts then you record and answer. I’ve also heard you have a chance to redo a question/s if you don’t like the response. Not sure how accurate that it. I guess we will all see when we do it. ?

That's awesome. I certainly hope so! Thank you for the information ?

You get 5 seconds to read the prompt and think of your answer, and then 1.5mins to respond. Definitely felt like a blur!

oh my goodness. That is very fast! Thank you for the heads up! I hope your interview went well ❤️

I did the interview this morning. I agree with AnAngryKoala, it felt like a blur. I thought I’d remember the questions they asked, but I can’t even recall one. Luckily it goes quickly and pushes right into the next one so you have no time to really react or let it sink in until it’s over. Best of luck to everyone! I hope to meet you June 2021!

@Kimrhia...Thank you and I will do the same for you. Yes we do need a FB page for the 2021 cohort. Also and hopefully there will be more responses soon to this forum as well. I have been checking my app status at least twice a day for an answer...still pending. This is my first time applying.
