I would like to ask about the screening process in the ospital ng sampaloc for the employment in sta. ana medical center.
Has anyone here undergone the screening process? How was the interview and written exam like?
How many interview and exam will you undergo?

true true true. once you get an appointment they will fix your papers. wether you have a low score on the exam lacks voluntary experience of you just simply failed or not fit for the job. whoalah....magic
what happened to batch two hiring? don't know the anomaly behind that.
now that MAyor **** won the election i hope they resume hiring and clean up their acts...hire those who are deserving and ranked in the top list.next in line rank 51 to 100. still we need updates on the vacant positionsso we have idea on how many items left for us waiting.

eeven if the city personnel have the power to reward the appointment they should abuse it. thats why we trained in ospital ng sampaloc and other hospital... we were given exams and was evaluated in performance and attitude. they people at ospital ng sampaloc dra tan and her NSO knows our caliber. thats why they made a list of people eligible for the sta ana nurse position. of course taking in consideration of the qualifying exam score (50/100 passing) and the panel interview at the city hall. those people who ranked and made into the list of top applicants should be prioritized. not the ones with backer.
with the promo board i think they can delay it. even if you have appointmet papers. coz the promo board is just for formality. my frineds who got hired in binondo they were appointed first then promo board after 1 week i guess..
a batchmate told me that they are still waiting even though they were given appointment papers already they still are not having duty in sta ana. batch 2 hiree. they are not even passed the promoboard stage.
now my staff nurse firned form binondo told me that the news circulating there is by may 15 they will resume for sta ana the hiring and assumption (paperworks on when is your salary date ) and appointment papers (what position will you have)
lets see what happens....goodluck to all of us. anyone who ranked in the top 100? 51 onwards?
just read that sta ana is 500 bed capacity hospital with at least 54 medical equipments. tertiary hospital. so they will be needing at least 200 nurses, if binondo has 200-250 where it is smaller in size compared to sta ana we still have great chances to be called upon assuming they are already 100-150 with appointment papers in sta ana
city hall decides the appointed nurses and not the training hospitals..Dr. ***** don't have any power to hire u or anyone else..the so called item can be tampered like what had just happened for the 2nd batch of appointees who were awarded with their item but didn't had the promo board.and one more thing.. half of the nurses at sta.ana hospital, their rank wer edited.hahaha..to see if I'm saying the truth you can go to sta.ana hospital and check for the nurses ^^
I thought Dr. ***** is the one responsible for hiring nurses at Sta. Ana hospital? My mom works in a law firm just in front of Manila City hall, one of their clients told us that info and she works at Manila Health Department. She even encouraged me to go straight at Ospital ng Sampaloc and talk to Dr. ***** but I refuse to do so. Anyways, just to share. My tita who happens to work at PCSO told me that her former boss, a PCSO director(well, a lot of connections of course!) he can land a nurse a job at Phil. Heart Center. Talk about rampant backer system! My tita also has a friend who happens to be a subordinate. I texted her just before election and she told me that all government hospitals are on freeze hiring that time due to election ban. But then, she told me to contact her after the election. I haven't text her as of this moment. I'll be a hypocrite if I say that I'll refuse job offers from her. I know its unfair but then I considered myself "lucky" (if that's the proper term for that) to have connections. I'll keep you guys posted.
maybe because of the election period they need to put someone in place for the hospital director in sta ana. but we all know that the lady doctor will be the one assuming the position. they can just switch anyway.
it nurses week yet were still not hired. goodluck for you. if you have backers you might as well used it. yes the term is lucky. but some people use backer even if they are not competent or fit. it just lies to the discretion and prerogative of the person who will back you up.
hope we all get our calls within the next week or so. election ban will be lifted june 10.
2 of my batchmates fron bacth 4a went to city personnel office to inquire. they were told election ban is until june 30. calling will resume july 1. what are they kidding us? the proclamation of the president of the philippines is by june 10. how come for local its june 30? my friend a volunteer nurse in binondo who happens to be liked by high rank people at nso (who by the way is inevitable to have an item due to her connections) said she was told my one of our mayor's secretary that election ban will be lifted june 10. now how come the city personnel office and mayor's office has different feed?
going back to my two batchmate who inquired. when they were asking their ranks (which is our right to know since its a public information) they told me someone gestured to the girl they were asking that ranks shouldnt be given to them. it really pisses me off to think they are hiding something. or not giving whats for ourselves to begin with. they are with holding information. karma baby. to the evilness and scheme of these people. karma
bashing my friend a little bit. i really feel she will have an item come election ban lifted. the chief nurse of binondo feeds her info on the vacant items and how to make her way to the list. she's being backed up by a politician. but shes a newly passed nurse. last november examiner. this is her first volunteer duty that lasted only two months. i know shes competent for the job. but shouldnt it be first come first serve?
now there's another person i know. a common friend coz she's a friend of a friend. her papers are already in. it was announced she will become N3 at ospital ng tondo. gossips are one supervisor from ospital ng tondo who is now at binondo and the girl flirted with each other. so the supervisor did what his powers and connection can for the girl to be hired. so if there's opeing in ospital ng tondo as promised to the girl shouldnt we take her place instead? i bet we are more competent and eligible compared to her. she had 3 months volunteer training but someone who is not "that girl" to make it on top selection. those are the talks, have met her a couple of times. she looks sweet and nice so i can't comment or agree.
one of my classmate back in high school who volunteered fro sta ana too just don't know the batch. sent me an email. containing a petition letter or so. i think some of the sta ana trained nurses who are still waiting for the call (if there's) wants to secure their position or have something to hold on.here's the content******************************************************

We are concerned nurse applicants in the City of Manila. Most of us are applying for President Cozaron Aquino Hospital in Sta. Ana Manila and a part of our group came from the selection of nurses who qualified for Justice Abad Santos Maternal and Child Hospital in Binondo Manila. We already had our qualifying exam and panel interview which included us in the top 200 of all the applicants according from the City Personnel's Office.
For the purpose of transparency, fair judgement and public information we would like to submit a census to the Nursing Service Office of this hospital fot an updated list of vacant nurse position with corresponding rank that we may use for future reference.
We have heard negative stories about the hiring process and with this information it can be a shining beacon for our hope, dreams and continuous trust in truth, the system, responsibility and good governance of people who are in position.
We hope that you can grant our request for this will mean a lot for ourselves our family and of course the people that the city government of Manila serves.

my n2 friend in sta ana just told me. the lady doctor from ospital ng sampaloc who as we all know been press released to take over sta ana.... she backed out. as my friend told me. the lady doctor told them she wont be assumming the position in sta ana to avoid pressures.pressure from nurses who have backers insisting teirselves to be hired. what is their problem? are they competent for the post? did they undergo training at ospital ng sampaloc to impose theirselves to get hired? it's so irritating.
now what? we'll all deal with this dr. the hospitral director of sta ana. read articles about sta ana. you can find his name.
the lady doctor knows how much we sacrificed for the nurse position in sta ana. sequence of exam. voluntary training. hard interview by their nso.
hope this new male doctor is considerate and very transparent.

now since she is ranked 150 and got/promised/told for an n1 position....how about us ranking in the 51-60-70-80-90-100 mark...will get get an n1 position too. or something higher>

about the n1 position thing... if you call the city hall they will tell you what position you are in, but it does not mean that they will hire us. they are just telling the position that you will get if ever they hire you/us...

i called the city hall last week and they told me that they will call nurses after june 30.
let me just say what's on my mind. you see... when i called the city personnel she told me that not all of us would be accomodated in sta. ana med, therefore the rest of us who's in the waiting list would be hired in other local hospital in manila if ever there will be a vacancies. but then guys... if applicants like us who does not have any backer were not accomodated in sta. ana med which we all know was already a massive hiring... what more to other local hospitals which probably have 1 or 2 vacancies (probably does not have any vacancies at all)... as you all know these local hospitals have their own volunteers to hire.. if you think about it there's really a very slim chance for us to be hired in other local hospitals. except if the city hall will give new items, as in new items not items that was vacated by those nurses who hold that item before..
Hi guys. I am also one of the sta. ana trainees waiting in vain for manila city hall's call. I also underwent several examinations. I also had 2 months training in Ospital ng Sampaloc. Our journey seems so hard that we really crave to be hired.
I followed up in the city personnel office re: my application. I asked them direct to the point questions like what is my rank, etc...
They explained to me that there are 4 lists (for nurses only) that Ospital ng Sampaloc sent to them. The 4 lists are based on the position of nurses: 1.) Nurse IV and above, 2.) Nurse III, 3.) Nurse II, and 4.) Nurse I. I am included in the ranking of Nurse 1.
I ranked 8th among the applicants for Nurse I. So with that we shouldn't expect anything higher than Nurse I since we are in Nurse I's List. I got a glimpse of the N1's list or should I say ranking when the personnel tried to explain to me my ranking. The highest among N1 got 74%.
I also asked them when will they resume the hiring. They told me that they'll continue calling successful applicants once the election ban is lifted.
I hope this is of great help to those who waits for their much anticipated call.
