Orlando Tech August 2013

Published

Anyone out there planning on going to Orlando Tech for their LPN starting in August? I'm currently in the process of applying for the daytime program, but I feel very in the dark. I went to the orientation, I've sent in my online application, and have heard nothing since. I called and left a message for someone in I think nursing admissions (I got transferred a few times) regarding the next steps. I'd love to meet some people that are going through the process currently, or have done it recently and give me some pointers!

I am trying to get a serving job too! Less hours good pay

Serving is where it's at. Short hours, good money.

Is it mid-June yet? I want our orientation info!

Ah me too I hate having to wait until July to have the orientation I want to get ready now! My summer will be consisting of anp and probably math review those are classes I haven't taken in at least a year so I need to brush up.

I'm happy I found this discussion. I turned in my packet the past monday, I was scared I was not going to be able to start in august. I was informed I was the last one, i feel very blessed and lucky. I am real excited to start. I wish i found this post earlier.

Yay congrats! Anything new you can add? Have you tried to see financial aid yet?

Nothing new,I believe the adviser said the orientation will be held July 9th, I cant wait. I have not visit the financial aid office yet, i need to soon, i only filled out the form online.

Congrats!! I hope you ladies do great! Save your books so I can buy then next year lol :)

Hi I read the entire post. @ tina102, have you tried TECO. It's in Kissimmee, but they have a LPN program. They are basically like Orlando Tech just in Osceola county. And instead of taking the TEAS you take the HESI instead. They have a part-time program in October 2013 that I plan on applying for and they are starting to receive the paper work July 1st. Hope this helps you.

Best of luck to the rest of you ladies that were accepted at Orlando Tech.

Does anyone know how the program is broken down and what's the min grade you must have to stay in the program?

Broken down in what way? We are finishing first class now this week which is online it's intro to health but you don't take it if you are already a Cna. 70 is a fail so they want us to stay above that.

broken down meaning, do you start with Fundamentals and then go to Body and Function? Like how is the program structured?
