Hi all:
Thanks for the good wishes.
It went really well, and everyone was really excited and happy to be there.
We had to fill out and sign a whole lot of paperwork (ie, I understand that I may be exposed to Hep, HIV, etc"), and go over all the various rules/regulations, which wasn't the most exciting thing, but I guess it needs to be done.
First test is on Tuesday - eek, already?!?!?!
I'd write more, but I'm exhausted and am about to crawl into bed. I just wanted to let y'all know that I survived and made it thru Day One.
It's going well, with the tests we've had so far, I've got a 96% average! We've covered legal/nursing ethics, therapeutic communication, done the BLS for healthcare providers, and started on geriatric and rehab. We're also covering asepsis right now.
I am, however, very tired. I resigned from my job a little while ago, and next week is my last week at work, so that should help with the exhaustion.

I'm so excited I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight. Classes start tomorrow, for my 18 month long, part time, practical nursing program.
I went today to pay the last installment of my tuition & buy the rest of my texbooks (eek! I feel very poor now!), and I spent the weekend searching uniform shops for white pants that didn't make me look like a marshmellow. :roll
I still have to pick up the awful blue cobbler's apron tonight - ick! While I'm sure the big roomie pockets will be useful, that thng is anything but flattering!!!
