Hi future nurses!! I just applied for OHSU's nursing program for fall 2020 as a transfer student. Has anyone else applied yet?

Okay that seems like the same application I filled out. I applied to the Monmouth campus.

Every campus has essays from what I understand. They are not required, but you won’t get in unless you do them. They are under the supplemental information on CAS from what I remember. Go back on the application website and click around I’m sure you will find them.

I, too, spent a lot of time on my essays. I believe they exemplified both my broad understanding of healthcare and the many facets that influenced my nursing pursuits, including my work abroad and in underserved communities with children and people from culturally diverse backgrounds. To be honest, I was rather surprised that I didn't at least receive an interview invite. I realize the competitiveness of nursing school, but short of paid healthcare experience I felt like I was a strong candidate. I know there is always next year, but I am pretty disappointed.

I got an interview but I was still intimidated by your stats as I don't have a 4.0.

I received my acceptance email yesterday for Ashland! I was shocked how quickly they sent emails, as interviews were April 4th. So, for all you Portland folks, maybe you won’t have to wait too much longer!

Anyone else get accepted for the Ashland campus?

Let’s hope Portland sends out acceptance letters this next week! Our essays are due today.

I just got an email from Monmouth I'm in the "highly" alternate list. CONGRATS to those who got in!

Well I’m sure someone will not accept and you will get in. I hope Portland sends out ours today! Last year it was on a Monday, so I’m expecting it next week.

Great job on getting on that list! You will most likely get in, especially with everything that is going on. I am sure someone will probably decline. I'm still waiting for the email from Klamath falls campus. Super nervous at this point though!
