Hi future nurses!! I just applied for OHSU's nursing program for fall 2020 as a transfer student. Has anyone else applied yet?

I read through some of the past post on this thread and it looks like other campuses did specify the likeliness. Maybe K. Falls campus forgot to? Or there’s not many on the list to begin with?

I was the person that mentioned the likeliness. I know for a fact that 2 yrs ago when I first applied to OHSU Portland, they were letting alt listers know approximately where they were. Now I don't know if it was a Portland-only thing, or whether they stopped letting us know since then. Hope you two get in! There almost always are a few people each year who go elsewhere.

I asked about the points system at OIT and was told they do a ranking and points system for admission off the alternate list. I guess we just aren't told where we stand. They also said they have admitted off the alternate list as late as September.

Did they mention an average of how many get admitted from the list per a year?

She said she didn't know how this year would work bc of COVID and guaranteed. So we have basically left in the dark until Sept. no idea of where we stand or how many will get in....nothing.

I tried calling the admissions department and they’re out of office because of Covid. How did you get a hold of them? By phone or email? Also if it was by phone what number did you use.

I emailed Mrs. Chard at OIT and asked her. She's the best one to ask and she always responds to the many questions I ask.
