Hi future nurses!! I just applied for OHSU's nursing program for fall 2020 as a transfer student. Has anyone else applied yet?

yes, the email said I was placed on an alternative list...I take that as not getting in. Good luck to you!

Did you get in?! Sadly, I was placed on the alternate list.

Unfortunately, I did not get in. I was placed on the alternate list as well. However, I still feel very devastated because I don’t think it is very likely for them to pick off the alternate list. I just can’t grasp the idea of someone actually declining after being accepted.

I have a friend in the program at OIT currently and she said a few from her class were on the alternate list and got in. I'm holding out hope until the end of May...

Do you know how long they were on the alternate list until they were told they can have a spot?

She didn't know, but I'd guess it's by the time the fee is due in May. The email said we could hear about it up to Sept. I don't want to be waiting that long.

I really don’t want to wait that long either but will if it gets me a spot! I am however a bit confused because in other threads for the OHSU BSN programs, people who have been placed on the alternate list mention a “highly likely”, “moderately likely” and “somewhat likely”. I did not get an indication of what category I am under, did you? Or did they discontinue telling us what we fall under?

I noticed that too. I don’t know if they’ve stopped doing that or if it’s just Klamath Falls. I didn’t get anything like that on my email. Just simply put on an alternate list...
