Hey everyone :)
So fall just flew in so I thought what a great time it would be to start my nursing applications lol. It is very early, but I enjoy having this on my mind. I am in my final year at University and am hoping to be a nursing student come next September. I wanted to make a space where we could come together with a common goal: getting accepted. The schools I plan to apply are:
Trent, Toronto, Humber, Western and Queens
Possibly considering RPN programs as well.
For anyone who applied to York, I contacted the 2nd Entry nursing office this morning and she said that they hope to "send out the majority of offers" over the next few weeks and early May, and that it is possible to receive a conditional offer if you are still completing prerequisites :)
Hey meligp, I haven't been able to find any terms either, and I'm not even sure if my offer is conditional or not. Although since I'm living in a student rental right now and I have all my mail sent to my permanent address at my family's house, I have no idea if any acceptance package arrived yet. I'll ask my brother and see if something showed up!
How is everyone preparing for the Nipissing interview? At the beginning I was really confused by the 3 minute blurb we have to give but slowly with lots of research I am feeling more confident about it. I anticipate the rest of the questions to be pretty straight forward.
Also what is everyone wearing? I'm opting for black slacks, simple flats and a button down shirt, tucked in with a skinny belt. Wondering what your opinions are. Also any opinions on a simple statement-ish necklace? I'm thinking it may be too much for a professional interview.

I was also wondering about how to prepare for the question since it's quite broad. I timed myself and it came out to be less than 2 minutes... so I'm not sure if they are expecting us to talk about specific examples of how we see NI unfolding in the course. My definition of NI was only 2-3 lines. What do you think?
And the outfit sounds great. Comfort is the priority!
Yes, I echo that. My definition was just a few sentences and relatively straight forward - there's not much you can change about a definition I suppose.
Regarding the latter part, I took a more personal approach. Because the program is so self directed, I thought it would be hard to generalize experiences so I'm sticking to what applies to my hypothetical experience for the most part. I believe there will be a lot of different answers, because the question is so broad. Hopefully this way we can all project our diverse personalities and ways of thinking.
Also, thanks for the outfit affirmation @yashi10!
Thank you! From U of T scale, I have between A- and A for my GPA. I have done 2 years of research at the Uni of Guelph, Ontario Veterinary College and a hospital in Toronto. My volunteering is a wide range from medical, psych, admin and a volunteering trip in Central America. If you have any questions let me know! :)

Also this is just a general question regarding OUAC since it's been about 6 years since I've last used it lol...I accepted my Trent offer and I know OUAC says that you can still get other offers and stuff, but when I went to go log back into my OUAC it said it was processing my application and I couldn't see my choices anymore. Will that go away after everything is processed? U of T is still my first choice so I'm really hoping to hear back from them!
