Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
I do not like big cities, so I did not like the idea of living in Toronto. As well, it seems like the market there its saturated with nurses so it would be harder to get a job after. They also have a reputation of destroying GPA, and I want to do a Masters in nursing down the line, so I need a decent GPA for that. Hope it helps! Good luck with your choice.

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Has anyone has had to decide between Western and McMaster? If so what is your thought process? I am leaning more towards Western. I already declined Trent and UofT. I just want to make sure I am making the right choice.

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Does anyone know how McMaster and Western Compare? I am still trying to decide between the two. I read that McMaster does a lot of group work and papers, and I am more of an independent worker and test-taker. Does anyone know if Western also relies heavily on group work? I am so confused as to which one to pick :/

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Hi Everyone, So I have been accepted to all the programs I applied (Trent, Western, UofT and McMaster), so far I have narrowed my choice between Western and McMaster. Does anyone know which program is better if you want to do Emergency Nursing or Maternity Nursing? I also want to do a nurse practitioner master later on, so I am not sure which program will be better for that. Thanks for the help! I can't wait to meet some of you :)

Western's accelerated nursing vs Trent's
Hi, Thanks for your insight. I am still unsure as to what I want. I do like smaller schools, but I wish I had more information on their clinic placements, that would be the deciding factor for me. I want to do emergency nursing, and I am also interested in midwifery. My long term goal is nurse practitioner. I wish I knew with certainty which path is better.

Western's accelerated nursing vs Trent's
Hey everyone, I was wondering if someone here could give me some insight into these two programs. Which one has better clinical placements, which one prepares you better for a nursing career? I am a little unsure as to which program to choose. My heart tells me to go to Trent, but it is a longer program and much farther away from home. Any insight is appreciated it! Thanks

If you go to the Trent sign in page and you go to Academics and then Admission status, it will tell you if its conditional or not :), but it does not give any other information.

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Hi all, For those accepted to Trent, do you know what the terms for the conditional offer is? I can't find them anywhere and I have not received the mail package yet. Does it usually take this long? I was accepted a bit over 2 weeks ago, and still nothing in the mail.

I have a 10.8 in a 12.0 scale, that is a high A-, almost an A (11.0). Hope it helps :). But I believe they weigh in the CASPER scores too. If you did your CASPER in February they may not send an acceptance until they have those results.

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Hi everyone, I was wondering if you accept an offer, do you receive offers from other universities ? I got accepted into Trent and I have to accept by the end of April, which will be before other universities send their admissions. Thanks :)

Ontario Second-Entry Nursing (2017)
Hi everyone :)! I am in my 4th year of Health Sciences at Laurier and I am really looking forward to starting a new career as a nurse! I applied to Trent, McMaster, U of T, and Western. My average in the last 2 years is 10.8 and overall 10.4, in a 12 scale. However I am very worried because when I was taking Anatomy and Stats (Same Semester) I went through some family problems and my marks fell, so I have a C+ in Anatomy and C in Stats . Also I did not realize I would need a second physiology course, so I am not sure I meet the requirements for Western. In case I do not get in, I am thinking of coming back for a semester and redoing some courses and taking the extra physiology course. Good luck to everyone! This site is a godsend :). P.S: Casper marks were received by Trent for those of you that are wondering, and they are still being prepared for McMaster.
