I know it's early, but let's get a thread going. 2015-hopefuls, share your thoughts, concerns, questions, and experiences here!
Hello everyone.
I was wondering if anybody is in the same position as me. I applied to UofT and haven't heard anything from them. Not a rejection, acceptance or email saying I have been waitlisted. I'm starting to think my application didn't go through or something lol. Anybody with any info would be greatly appreciated ! Thanks

Last year I didn't find out I was waitlisted until June 24th. Hang in there, you should be getting some news this week!
Hi everyone.I applied to McMaster, Western, Queens, Trent, & Lakehead. I got rejections from Western & Queens, an alternate from Trent, haven't heard from mac, and Acceptance into the 3-yr compressed lake head.
I'm really struggling with whether I want to move 15 hours away to lake head or go back to Guelph (just graduated in HK) to try to raise my GPA and apply to more places next year.
I also recently applied to 4 colleges for the 4year programs and also Humber's 2.5 year program, but I am on the wait list for all of them.
Is there anyone here going to lakehead who knows more about the program or has any opinions about it and/or moving?
Or is there anyone who has been or is in a similar situation?
Thanks!
Also feel free to email me instead if it is easier! ([email protected])
All the nursing schools are about the same, what you need to look at are the CRNE exam pass rates for each school (last I checked, Lakehead had a really high passing rate). Other than that, it depends on whether you want to wait another year to get into a different program, as well as if you are financially able to move there. I'm planning on staying on res and driving down the 15 hours to get there.
Also: I believe you wouldn't need to do any courses during the summer since you have done uni electives for the first year because it is supposed to be when you do 1.5 FCE (Full course equivalent) electives.

It's missing york, windsor, and uwo
Hey guys, today I got rejected from U of T but thankfully right after I got an offer from York! I'm so pumped! In case any of you are wondering, My overall average was 75% and my last 5 credit average was 81% with all my prerequisite courses being 79% and above. Hang in there guys!
@ak11rs congratulations! thanks for sharing your stats, im super happy for you. i wish i could be in your position right now. my average in my last 5 credits are slightly lower than yours so i hope i will still have a chance. hopefully york can let me know this coming week :)

Theres still hope! I actually took an additional 5th year to bump up my grades and managed to get into Humber and Nipissing (but no word from York). With compressed programs that only look at the last 10FCE, having an extra year that is 5FCE (or a reduced load) helps bump up a huge chunk of the marks. Also Nipissing SPP looks at your BEST 10FCE, which is awesome
. Anyways, whatever choice you make - good luck!
