Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?
I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:
1. Queen's
2. McMaster
3. York
4. Humber-UNB

That's great! Do you know if there is a fb group or something? My email is [email protected] if you want to connect!

Do all schools send out "waitlist" offers?
Thanks ?
You applied to Western right? According to last years thread the letters for the waitlist came out May 31. This year it seems that the deadline for responding to offers was June 1 - so any day now we should hear something about the waitlist!

I don't know anything about Western, but from my experience, U of T is still sending out acceptances. Last year, on the final Friday of June, there were a lot of people that got acceptances, and others were emailed asking if they would like to be put on the waitlist.
Hey guys!
Bit of an off topic question - Does anybody know how long it takes for Toronto Police to process Vulnerable Sector Screening forms, especially during these times? I'm in the process of asking my university to send me a form so that I can forward it to Toronto Police. But unfortunately I have to resort to mailing instead of handing in the form in-person which I think really prolongs the process.
My university (McMaster) requires these forms by July 31 but they said they understand there will be delays and to just let them know the day you mail out the form at the very least.
IDK maybe I'm overthinking but I'm just worried I've started this process a little too late. I've done these screenings in the past and they usually took me about 3 weeks. But with Covid-19... I don't really know.
Is anybody else in a similar situation?

I am stressing too. I just found out this week that it needed to be done this soon. I requested to receive the form we need for the Toronto Police from the mac email they provided but I have not heard back yet. Have they responded to your request yet?
I am also nervous because I am currently quarantined in Ontario, but my health coverage is in another province and with COVID I'm not sure if I can get there and have my vaccinations done. I am hoping that I am allowed to get updated vaccines and a TB test done here.
Also, what are you doing for CPR? Is there any CPR classes in Ontario being held right now in the pandemic? Or are you planning on doing it online, because I am not sure what to do here ?
