Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Praying for more uoft acceptances today!

I JUST GOT ADMITTED TO UOFT NURSING! oh my god I cried while doing groceries haha my last 5.0 is 3.71 but it was only updated last week as my Winter marks took some time. otherwise, they looked at my previous 5.0 which is 3.64. I am just an average GPA applicant so uoft definitely looks at everything!! hang in there everyone! Cant wait to mee y'all in September!

hey! so I was volunteering at toronto rehab as unit support for about a year when I submitted my application. for long term ECs, I was a founding member of korean canadian student association at my high school and I was serving as an alumnus mentor since 2010. I was also an exec of Korean Canadian National student association since 2013! I did some research but it was only for Summer and it was project based where I helped a local bread-making company with their over fermentation issue. I also volunteered as a tech mentor at CNIB and Silent voice, a toronto based deaf community.

My ECs are all over the place and most health care-related ones were more than 2 years. but I tried elaborating how these various experiences prepared me as a future nurse and I think that really spoke to them! otherwise, I wouldn't have made it - my cGPA is only 2.81, I took 3 years of break, I've even had 51 in my second year. if I made it, y'all can make it!

That's amazing! Congratulations on your offer ? I also have a fairly low cgpa and I just sent in my final transcript four days ago so I am slowly losing hope.

May I ask you when did you submit your final transcript for Winter? Was it last week or early this week?

the final one went in on Monday this week! I'm not sure if they used that for admissions tho

Does anyone know if Uoft sends acceptances at once at like 2 something on fridays, or if they send them at different times between 2-4 pm?

I got accepted to UofT!! So excited and will most likely be taking this offer!
