Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Hi Guys!

I just got my acceptance to UofT, UBC is actually my first choice but I haven't heard back yet, so if I get in a spot will open up for UofT, Mcmaster and Queens!

Hi guys!

I got accepted into UofT today! I am still in shock. I can't wait to meet you all! For those still waiting to hear back, please do not lose hope! The wait was really hard for me because I thought I had no chance against everyone else with super high GPAs and stellar ECs. My last 5 full credits was around a 3.8, and volunteered abroad in Nicaragua as part of a medical brigade as well as worked with children in camps for several years.

We will all be amazing nurses ❤️

thanks so much!! my cGPA was not the greatest to be quite honest with you! it was around 3.5 and for my last 5 full credits it was 3.89. I've already got my Bachelor's and I'm currently obtaining my MSc. For EC's, I was involved in a few different labs and was a part of 2 exchange programs; 1 to learn French in Quebec and the other is conducting research in Europe. I also volunteered at a few different hospitals.

For those of you who are still waiting, believe me, I understand your stress as I was feeling every emotion you've all felt. Hang in there and stay patient. I'm still in progress of finishing one of the Pre-req's (UofT's Human Phys in SCS), so it's evident that they're taking everyone's circumstances into consideration!! I was reading in last year's forum that many people were also getting accepted in beginning/mid-June!!

Hi!

I also got an acceptance to UofT today! I’m super excited and still in shock!

I graduated last Spring and both my GPA for my last 5 FCE and cGPA were around 3.63/4.0. I have no research experience and don’t have any volunteer experiences at a hospital either. I was extremely doubtful that I would get in for these reasons, but for those of you still waiting don’t lose hope!! For my ECs, I was heavily involved in softball during my undergrad - played intramural softball and became captain within a different association - and really emphasized on that in my personal statement. I was also involved in a couple clubs on campus.

I hope you all are doing fine during this time. Just logged onto McMaster Mosaic and noticed June 1, 2020 under the response due date. However, my status is still pending (green circle). Does this mean it's taking a while to update? Thanks in advance!

Yes it does! Mine took like 6 hours to update (incredibly stressful LOL). CONGRATS!

Thank you ? you were also in the Nipissing group! Did you accept Nipissing’s offer first and then declined it to accept UofT? Or if not, what did you do.

I was! I got accepted to UofT before my Nipissing offer expired so I hadn't yet accepted Nipissing at that time and just accepted UofT
