Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

I just got into McMaster and I have a 3.15. I won't be accepting my offer since I got into McGill so a spot should open up soon!

I did an undergrad before applying to Mac.

Hi all!

I received a conditional offer from McMaster yesterday! (I just finished the last pre req this semester) I was beyond shocked and so excited!!

CONGRATS to everyone who got accepted and good luck to all those still waiting!!

Hey Everyone. I just declined my offer to Humber so another spot should be opening there! Good luck everyone :)

CONGRATS! ? Did they contact you through email or call you? Also, would you mind sharing your GPA?

They contacted me through email on Monday and officially sent me the Offer today! My GPA is 3.8.

Oh OK! CONGRATS! ? Thanks

CONGRATS!! ? Do you know if they accept students who meet and or exceed pre req/ but don’t have a degree yet?

I've heard they have in the past. I'm not sure if they have a preference for those who have graduated already though.

For those of you who applied to Mac- do you have your degree yet or did you just complete your prerequisites???

Please let me know if you don’t mind !

? Thanks

I will graduate in June!

Specializes in Biology.

Hey everyone!

I'm super happy for everyone who got acceptances into various programs, congratulations!

I just wanted to make a post to comfort anyone who has yet to hear anything back from the programs they applied to. I applied to U of T and Western and have yet to hear anything, and it's really challenging to not stress about it! I think it's more than okay to feel anxious about acceptances and the future in general, especially considering the current circumstances (I'm looking at you Covid-19). If anyone else wants to vent their worries (even if they have gotten accepted) feel free to reply to this post!

Hey!

I am so happy that I am not alone! I am still waiting to hear back from U of T! It has caused me a lot of anxiety, stress and overthinking! I am going to assume that I haven't been accepted based off the fact that my Winter grades have not been made official yet therefore I haven't sent them in! I also am just in the process of completing Physiology at U of T school of continuing studies as well! I hope the best for everyone and hope we all get into the schools we wish to go to!

OMG I totally feel you. I am getting really nervous too. I only applied to U of T, and I am slowly losing hope as it is already May. I am still waiting for all my Winter grades and I really wish I did a lot better in my third year as I did very well in fourth, but waiting for my Winter term grades. My mom even told me that she had a dream that I got in which made me feel very overwhelmed. I do not know if I have a chance to get in this year, but I am looking at ways to improve my supplementary application for next year. Good luck to all those waiting! Do not lose hope yet!

It is May, but there is still a lot of time to hear back! I am only waiting on U of T as well and some college RPN programs! I didn't do well in all three years of University until 4th year so I feel you! It really takes a toll on me every time a family member or friend asks if I have heard back from the schools that I have applied to. I get stressed out and feel like I am not good enough because I haven't heard back! Let's all think positively and hope for the best!

Your right we do have a lot of time still. I am crossing my fingers for you! I regret only applying to one nursing program and I wish I did not tell family members that I applied as I cannot handle telling someone I did not get an acceptance. I hope we both hear good news soon.

Hey guys! I just got my acceptance to U of T!!! check your applications!!
