Congrats to everyone who got in!! Been waiting so anxiously. Did it show up on OCAS, OUAC Or the websites themselves? Also, what were your stats like? I’m sitting at a 3.7 on a 4.0 scale. Extremely nervous!!

Hey! I just posted my stats above. Try not to be anxious!, a 3.7 is great and is definitely competitive. Most schools don't even send acceptances until end of March/April. I know the wait is long, but you got this ❤️

To answer your question: I still haven't received an email, and it is not yet on OUAC. The acceptance is only listed on my application status on Solus for Queen's. I'm not sure about the other schools that people have been posting as I didn't apply to them so maybe they can provide some insight.

Hello everyone!

I'm applying to Humber-UNB, UofT, and York! I'm pretty nervous about the acceptances being sent so early, I didn't realize that was the case. My GPA is not the best (3.25 on 4.0 scale) and I am re-taking some courses to boost up my GPA. Do you think I will have a chance to be accepted?

I have a year of volunteer experience in the hospital, and last year I did get on the wait list for UofT, but didn't get in. So, I'm trying again this year and I hope I do get into one of these programs!

Best of luck to you all!

Hi everyone,

Like everyone else, I also creep on these posts once in a while lol. I am applying this year as well (only to york) but my gpa is on the lower end (3 overall and hoping for 3.3 in the last 30 credits). I'm really nervous because i know my gpa is not competitive enough and I probably wont make it in this year but still giving it a shot!

I'm in the same boat as you! My GPA is 3.25, but I feel that is not enough to get accepted. I still hope they will look at my CASPER score as a part of accepting me. I wish the best of luck to you ?

Hey!

I wouldn't worry about the early acceptances. If you look at previous years some schools (Queen's, Humber) send out acceptances early and continue for a few months, and others (York, Mac, UofT, Western etc) seem to send them much later (March-May). I think a lot of these programs are holistic in the application process, so don't worry too much ?

Thank you for the response! I won't worry as much now, I'm not familiar with the early acceptance times.

Haven't heard back from Trent yet. I think they wait for your Casper test.

I have a few friends in the program so I can share what I know about it. Classes are fairly large but seminars and simulations are in smaller groups. 1st placement is in long term care (psw work), then community, then another placement is either maternity or mental health (you choose; locations can be far, I know a lot of people who went to Oshawa, Lindsay and Coburg for placements). 3rd year level placements are acute and chronic. They are typically in PRHC (Peterborough's hospital). Final placement is 1-on-1 and most people go to their hometowns for this one. The program is structured like a normal undergrad program. It is a really stressful program and a lot of work but people at Trent are know to be very kind and helpful so it won't be hard to find a good study group.

Trent is the most beautiful campus and has access to a lot of support services.

Excited to say I got my acceptance on Wednesday morning to Queen’s AST program! Super hyped as last year I got waitlisted at UofT but didn’t make it through. Still hoping to get accepted at UofT for 2020 but if not I’m beyond excited to move to Kingston!!
