Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

I received mine at like 1am in the morning haha. I believe I applied with a 3.98/4.3 scale. As for volunteer experience I’ve volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House, a local seniors community club. However I’m currently in radiological technology at Dalhousie so I have 2 years of clinical experience, and I just worked as a live in nanny in Sydney Australia for a 2 year old girl with cystic fibrosis along with many other complications.So as her nanny I was doing all of her medical treatments making sure she kept healthy.

Hi everyone,

Like everyone else, I also creep on these posts once in a while lol. I am applying this year as well (only to york) but my gpa is on the lower end (3 overall and hoping for 3.3 in the last 30 credits). I'm really nervous because i know my gpa is not competitive enough and I probably wont make it in this year but still giving it a shot!

I only applied to Humber-UNB cause that was the only program I had all the required pre-requisites and gpa for. I literally have no EC, no reference letters or anything lol.
By some miracle, I was accepted into the program!!
My GPA in the last 60 credits were 3.6 / 4.0 scale

Congrats to everyone that got accepted into Humber! Does anyone know if they will be sending out another round of acceptances ? I thought the deadline was Feb 1st so I just recently applied.

The deadline was feb 1st, its also the first day they send out first round offers. There definitely will be another round of acceptances. From reading last years post, people were getting offers from march-may.

I wish i could apply to Humber! I'm missing their requirements they have from high school (chem).

Does anyone know if york has started to send out offers? I know they mostly send offers after recieving final grades but from previous forms, some got conditional offers around feb.

Anyone keep getting full disclosure emails from Humber? I know I’ve submitted my one university transcript but it’s making me feel I forgot something? It’s my top choice so I’m freaking out but my transcript was sent three weeks ago.

Definitely just going crazy thinking but overthinking it somehow didn’t get to them!

Me! I get how you’re feeling. I also submitted my high school transcript and the status doesn’t change on OCAS so I’m hoping they got it! This waiting game sucks haha.
