Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Anyone heard from Uoft this week?

I was wondering if anyone knows when McMaster is planning to send out acceptances or if they've started already.

Hi!

When I emailed Mac last week, I was told they will be sending offers in the beginning of May (I asked when they’ll be needing final transcripts, which they’ll want only if one receives an offer then).

I know some offers expire on OUAC on May 1st, which might make waiting/deciding a bit more difficult. Who knows, they might start sending them a week earlier! Good luck! ?

Did anyone else fill out the scholarships page on the UofT application/ has anyone heard if they were given one?

I saw in a past year that those who got scholarships found out around the same time as their acceptance.

I filled out the scholarships/awards section of supplementary application but I still haven't heard back about it.

Just got an acceptance email from Queens AST! Half excited, half terrified - can anyone else relate to that emotional rollercoaster?!?! I had convinced myself it wasn't happening this year because I only applied to one program and hadn't heard anything about Queens sending out offers in ages. Can't believe it's happening!

Thanks! I tried to message my name to you but it wouldn't let me and I don't feel comfortable posting my full name on a public forum. I did find a FB group and asked to join - I hope it's the right one!

CONGRATS! What was your GPA if I may ask? Also, where did you see your acceptance offer, on Solus?

I got an email titled "Queen's University: Your offer of admission"! I have until May 15 to accept.

My cGPA is 11.83 & my major GPA is 11.93 (both on a 12.0 scale) - it took me 6 years to finish my degree though, working part time and studying part time. And I want to say for anyone in the middle of a comeback story - it's totally possible. I was a high school drop out whose mental health ruined my life in my late teens. I gained things back in my twenties through a lot of hard work and I'm so proud of myself today! Wishing everyone luck in their journeys!
