Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

I did. I applied to Humber back in January. I’m sure you’ll hear back soon! If you got waitlisted early on I’d take that as a good thing ? good luck!

Well, the person who said their friend got in with a 70s GPA was talking about a previous year. That being said, I don't really know. I know a friend who was rejected with almost a perfect GPA in a previous year, and another with a more diverse EC record and less competitive GPA that got in (two years ago). The cut-off they post on the site is a 3.0, so you know they at least consider from that and up. It is also worth considering that not everyone posts in these forums, so going through past years can be discouraging and you don't really know a true representation of the stats of those admitted in previous years.

For now, try not to use others posts/stats as the end-all be-all. So many things are considered and you will get there ?

Thank you!! It was about 3.95 for last 5 FCE and 3.87 cGPA. However, I did have a B- in anatomy. I think extracurriculars and your supplementary essays play a big role. I know this is a nerve-wracking process and I hope that you will get accepted!

I also got accepted to UofT Nursing just yesterday, hopefully everyone is getting the good news sooner or later. Can't wait to meet all of you! and facebook group would be amazing.

I talked to one of the admins from the year before us, they said they're going to make the facebook group sometime next week!

No I haven't heard anything either. I think I'll message them and ask when the last set of responses will be coming out.
