Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Me too! I didn’t think I did well on CASPer at all and was quite bummed about it for a while. I hope this means our scores are fine? Other schools I’m waiting to hear back need it too. I hope it’s OK.

I’m hoping it means our scores were good haha. I’d love to know how much they weight them for admission

I just realized that uoft Updated its application process webpage to “[...] issued late march to June”..!! It was early April before wasn’t it!??! Does that mean we can hear from uoft sometime soon? Am I tripping???

Could I ask what made you choose UofT over UBC? I'll only be applying to UofT, Nipissing, and McMaster, but UofT is my top choice for sure.

I’m sorry this is an incredibly late reply LOL. I basically chose uoft as I grew up here, my family is here and I wanted to spend more time with them as they are aging. I also moved for my first degree so I never got to explore downtown as an adult, so that was another reason. I do plan on living in Vancouver once I’m done (I was living there previously) so I figured this would be the best time to move back for a few years! I also didn’t like the face that Some clinical placements at UBC might be inreachable by transit (I didn’t have a car in vancouver) and the unknown of that pushed me away from it a bit.

Now I cant remember if it always said late March or if it originally said early April

For reference, uoft sent out first round of acceptances April 15 last year. I’m not sure if the current world situation will slow the process down or not as they are currently trying to figure out the logistics of how we will be taking our exams/tests online and what they’ll be doing for our courses that run into the Spring term. Sit tight! I know I had so much anxiety last year, checking this site multiple times a day, but try to keep your mind off it and it will come ?

Hi everyone! Just wondering, do you guys think the university closures would affect admission processes? Like would we be receiving acceptances any later now?
