Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2020

Hey, I used to creep these forums for the past few years and they helped affirm my decision to apply to nursing school for Fall 2020. I didn't see one started for next year so I thought, why not start one?

I graduated a while back so I'm a bit older, but my top three choices are:

1. Queen's

2. McMaster

3. York

4. Humber-UNB

Are there any programs across canada that have January Intake?

I was take off the waitlist for Humber earlier this week, I was told in February that I was top 20. There's still hope out there, keep positive!

Hi! The deadline is usually February 1st for supplemental applications, but sometimes a bit earlier for the OUAC application. I forget exactly when but I believe for U of T it was in mid-January. Personally, I did my OUAC applications (I applied to UofT, Western, Queens and Nipissing) in November of 2019 for September 2020 entry. 

If you're using BIOL 230 as a pre-req, you can still get accepted- your offer will just be conditional on you finishing the course with a certain grade. So if you submit an application prior to finishing BIOL 230, it's fine (you just have to send a transcript for proof of enrolment). Especially considering you'll be done at the end of January, you can just send your transcript in with the final grade when you're done. Unless you meant that you would hold off on applying all together if you don't get a certain grade? I'm not sure what you meant by wanting to have the mark before applying.

Wow! Congratulations to you. I am super happy for you. I really hope a miracle happens for me too. Did you apply before or after the February 1st deadline?

Congratss!! If you don’t mind what was your GPA in the last 60 credits? I’m thinking of applying to the program fall of 2021

Hey guys! How does the Casper test work? They released the dates, but do I have to apply to the schools I want to go to before I can take the casper test? I plan on applying to schools  in January, however I think the Casper dates are all before then. Can someone break down the process to me? I would appreciate it so much!!

Hey thank you!! My GPA was on the lower side, between 3.3-3.4 I believe

Hey, so if u go on the york website for 2nd entry nursing and check the equivalencies list: https://nursing.info.yorku.ca/2nd-entry-bachelor-of-science-in-nursing/ 

Theres a bunch u can choose from under york university statistics. I personally chose PSYC 2021 because I liked psychology ?
