Hello Everyone,
I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

I am currently a 2nd year compressed student at Trent, so for those who are planning or have accepted their offer there is a nursing Facebook group created for you guys: Trent University-Compressed Nursing 2019-2021
Hi all! I've never joined a forum, let alone posted on one in my life... ah! So hopefully I'm doing this right haha. I got accepted to Trent and can't wait to begin! I think the group you're referring to is the one I started, but no one has joined yet. I'm in there all alone waiting and waiting haha. So come on y'all, please join me! Looking forward to meeting everyone in person. Congrats! ?

For Western, my status changed to "further documentation required". I already accepted at UofT last week, my first choice. Is anyone else in a similar boat and is deciding whether or not to send Western updated information if you are already 99% sure you're going somewhere else (as long as I meet all the conditions for UofT, of course). I almost feel as if I should send them it just in case something happens with UofT, but that's just me being paranoid.

SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME LOL they want to see my final transcript! I also accepted u of t awhile ago, but since I preordered a copy of my final transcript back when I was applying for Western on OUAC in January, I think it will just automatically send. I think you should send it in too, because it doesn't hurt to have a back up plan just in case.
I got conditionally accepted to York University last night, but it looks like they didn't accept my old statistics course from 2006 (probably because it was a C+, not a B). So I see some thing saying "upload statistics 3.0 transcript" on the myfile site, does this mean they want me to register for stats in the summer and complete it? On the admissions letter it doesn't seem to indicate any date transcripts for summer courses need to be in by, I'm assuming we just take the course and get the final transcript in and the offer stands? So confusing!
Also, got the "incomplete application" thing from western too, hoping they accept me, as I really don't want to do a statistics course again for York, haha.

Hey all, I was just reading this thread and wanted to ask a few questions since I'm planning to apply next year!
Did anyone here get accepted into York?
If you all dont mind me asking, what was your overall GPA plus your last 30 credits (On york scale).
How was the CASPER for all of you that took it?

I also got an acceptance from western yesterday around 6pm! I will be taking this offer so a spot should open up at trent. I'm not sure if they calculate your last 10 courses or 20? If they look at your last year (10 courses) I had an average around 88-89ish ?
Good luck to everyone still waiting - hope to see some of you next year ?
