Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019

Updated:   Published

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York

only next year (yes I am going through the strike).

Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

Hey there, I am in fifth year of my undergrad in life science. I have question regarding a course I am retaking (PSL301) as part of the pre-reqs. I am just wondering if they will consider my retake course for the meeting the minimum requirement.

I’m not sure about specific course requirements, I would reach out to the faculty regarding that!

Yes! I have a friend who got accepted with 3.3. But it also depends on ur reference letters and personal statement. Dw too much though!

I got waitlisted too!! Did you apply after the February deadline though? Because I did, and they did say spots will be given to those who applied before the deadline and then if theres anything available, it'll go to the people who applied later. So I guess that's why I'm on the waitlist because I definitely had more than the minimum requirements!

Hi. Just wondering if you ended up getting off the waitlist last year. I applied after February 1st This year and I haven’t heard a word. Super nervous.

Hey, I know this question was not directed to me but I just happened to see it, I applied to Humber last year and although my application came in before the deadline, my high school transcript came in after because of a mix up. Regardless, I didn't end up getting off the waitlist!
