Hello Everyone,
I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.
Hi
I got accepted to Ryerson/ centennial BScN and McMaster/Mohawk BSCN. Both universities of course have strong programs but I guess I’m worried if studying at college I won’t get the same quality of education.
They say Ryerson/ McMaster profs travel to colleges and teach the same curriculum and that most classes are held in universities. However I was wondering will the clinical opportunities be the same? Will it really be the same education curriculum or will colleges just let lazy students graduate?
I have offers from universities too but I’m wondering if these collaborative programs are better?
Thank you for your help!
Just got accepted into the MoMac collab! I've also been accepted to the Ryerson Centennial collab. I'm a bit torn on which to choose - ideally I'll get into a 2 year program but the odds don't look great as I've been waitlisted at 1 and still waiting on the other. I'd really like to work in DT Toronto when I finish schooling, which is why the Ryerson program is attractive. I have a few questions about the MoMac program if anyone's able to answer them:
Does anyone know if there are any Mac placements in Toronto?
Do the MoMac placements differ from the Mac placements (I'm really interested in NICU or Labour and Delivery)?
Course-wise, I have a biology degree from Western so I'm hoping I can sub in some of the courses I may have already taken - does anyone know if MoMac is good with this?
Any insight into the MoMac or Cent. Ryerson collabs would be amazing! ?
Hi Guys,
So I am a current applicant for the accelerated nursing program at U of T and Trent. I just received my acceptance from Trent very recently and haven't heard back from U of T. My Average in the last 30 credits is 3.32. For those of you who have gotten accepted at u of T, I was just wondering what your averages were. Do you think I can receive an acceptance or even a waitlist from U of T based on that average?
Thanks and Good Luck to those who are waiting. DO NOT LOSE HOPE !!!!
Hey Everyone,
Would you guys know of any Facebook groups for Humber second entry September 2019?
and how do we register for courses. Is it one block with all the courses in or is it course by course registration for the prepatory semester? Would you guys know if we will end up having night classes?
thanks,
Hey everyone! I just checked and I got an offer from Trent... but it's for the Honours Science program and not the nursing program. I think I had to pick a back up option and that's why its the science and not nursing program. Has this happened for anyone else? Is there a likelihood that it will change to the nursing program? Helppppp

You could retake stats online at athabasca, get a higher grade. Then apply for University of Calgary second entry which has a application deadline of September and the program has a January start.
