I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.
Just got accepted right now at 5:36 and I'm still shaking. My GPA on the last 10 credits right now is 83-84%. I have volunteer experience with the hospital 3+ years, library 3 years, school clubs, research and lab experience.
I did really bad in my first three semesters and my marks were bad. But this opportunity has showed me that UofT truly weighs everything and considers the supplementary app a lot.

Thank you! I’m not sure how they calculated it because i took 6 courses both terms during my third year but based on my last 20 courses, i had an 86.7.

Got a conditional offer to mcmaster on mosiac ? (Hasn't appeared on OUAC yet)
Last two years 3.7 GPA / on a 4 point scale (average 82?)
Casper- I thought I did okay on but I guess it went better then expecting

I got accepted to Mcmaster!!!!!! Need to make a decision by april 23 but no responses from the other schools yet will probably have to accept for now and decline later if i get accepted to my preferred school (UBC).
Do you know if you're allowed to do that? Like accept one school and then decline if you get your first choice?

I am enrolled in the 2nd physiology course needed, but otherwise I have them all complete

I may require to make a non-refundable deposit (usually $500) to keep my spot but they can’t force you to go if you don’t want to haha. $500 is a lot but for the peace of mind of having at least one school... i don’t mind paying for it.
