Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York

only next year (yes I am going through the strike).

Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

FYI - just heard back from McMaster. No email but Mosaic is updated.

Got a conditional offer to mcmaster on mosiac ? (Hasn't appeared on OUAC yet)

Last two years 3.7 GPA / on a 4 point scale (average 82?)

Casper- I thought I did okay on but I guess it went better then expecting

it depends on which program you're talking about since they all have different conditions!

I don't have it directly, but from last years posts says

1. Official final university transcript stating degree granted, or courses completed

2. Skills Abilities Letter to the School of Nursing before the summer deadline

3. Completion of all courses in progress with a final cumulative GPA of 70% and a minimum finalgrade of C-/(60%) in the required courses. An official final transcript must be submitted
