Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York

only next year (yes I am going through the strike).

Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

Hey guys! I emailed admissions at Mac if anyone is interested, she said:

Thank you for your inquiry. The offers just started to go out, more will be sent today. At this point we do not have a wait list.

Thanks!! The schools I applied to are UBC, Toronto, western and queens, would you know for any of those?

For UBC it's June 15th!

I would suggest reading through the posts. People have reported getting acceptances for Torotno, Western and Queens if you're wondering about that?

Hello, I’ve been lurking for a while but thought I’d join the discussion... for those of you who got offers from U of T, did your application status change from “application recieved” to “under review” or something similar before you got the acceptance?

I got accepted to Mcmaster!!!!!! Need to make a decision by april 23 but no responses from the other schools yet :( will probably have to accept for now and decline later if i get accepted to my preferred school (UBC).

Just got accepted right now at 5:36 and I'm still shaking. My GPA in the last 10 credits right now is 83-84%. I have volunteer experience with the hospital 3+ years, library 3 years, school clubs, research and lab experience.

I did really bad in my first three semesters and my marks were bad. But this opportunity has showed me that UofT truly weighs everything and considers the supplementary app a lot.
