I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York
only next year (yes I am going through the strike).
Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.
I had just over a 3.7 in my last year (something around 83-84%?), a couple years of research experience on campus and at UHN, volunteering at 2 hospitals for 3-ish years each in high school, and leadership ECs/awards from university! I was worried that I wouldn't hear back for a bit because I didn't think I went into enough detail about what I actually did in each role hahah

That's amazing!!! What time did you get the email at? This gives me hope because I barely went into detail about my positions/experience. Just merely listed them and gave a short description (I wasn't sure how they wanted it!).

2:40pm! I spent a lot of time working on the two mandatory questions but not as much on the other two sections about leadership and achievements!
my GPA is 3.97/4.33

Can you share your stats like GPA and experience?
