Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2019

Updated:   Published

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a third year York University student hoping to apply for second entry nursing at York

only next year (yes I am going through the strike).

Since applications open in November, I thought it would be best to get this forum started. I am hoping to get more insight into the program and I hope current and past nursing students would share their views on the program and how job searching went. Also, what nursing specialties do most York nursing graduates enter as I am hoping to get into public health. Furthermore, share your insights on Humber, McMaster, U of T, Trent, Queens, Western, Ottawa and Nippissing. (I think that is all) and don't forget to include your acceptance GPAs.

I've also been told that the majority of Western's acceptances go out at the end of May. Hang in there!

Thank you for responding guys. I feel more at ease now. Hoping it will be good news for everyone!

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Hello!

I hope all is well. It's my first time writing on this forum. I'm probably being super paranoid right now but can someone confirm when the last day to submit transcripts is to Western? I just want to make sure I'm finishing my online courses in time.

Thanks!

Tomorrow is the big day for U of T! How's everyone feeling?

SO NERVOUS!!!! My heads going to explode. ? I just hope I can hear back tomorrow, this process is soooo anxiety inducing its horrible.

Anyone heard from UofT yet?????

Just as nervous but seeing another post saying the top applicants with an intense background (strong academics, strong research, strong volunteer with publications and conference presentations), I am less worried about being accepted this early. But I just hope I simply just get an acceptance *cries*

While I am nervous, based on anyone I have talked to - I feel like if you had good references, have some sort of volunteer and research experience and have over 80% in your last 10 credits or 2 years (whatever UofT looks at) you're good to go ?

this post gives me hope
