Ontario Second Entry Nursing Fall 2018

World Canada CA Programs

Published

I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?

Good luck to all!

To the person who who responded to my question, thanks for your response. Talking of my BSc, it was in Soil Science. And I have just relocated to Ontario from my home country, I would want to stick to York University so will definitely be taking the prerequisites in Ontario. However, I need to know which schools to do that before Fall when applications for 2019 will be open, I am confused on how to go about it. For Humber College, its so difficult reaching an administrator to confirm the requirements for the Second Entry, hence will be doing only York. Any York second entry student in the house?

Detailed step for the York Second Entry program for International Candidate, please, anyone? Thank you.

Courses offered online and they are open entry means you can register any time you want. I took physiology, anatomy, statistics and psychology there.

Just got accepted to U of T today!!

Congrats! Mind sharing your GPA and experience? Much appreciated :)

Hey guys!

I've been accepted to the Trent Compressed Nursing program back in mid-April, but still waiting on an acceptance for the Queens AST Nursing program. I'm currently completing an Anat and Phys class online through Athabasca as the Admissions Officer told me I have a pretty good chance of getting in if I complete this requirement. I haven't gotten an acceptance yet though and I know some people have gotten conditionals on here. Think there's still a chance of me getting in so late? I'm hoping to finish the course by mid-May so that they can have my final mark for the class.

Thanks!

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know if there is some kind of policy against accepting at more than one program? I've received more than one acceptance, at UofT and Humber, and the date has come to either accept or decline. It's bad timing, I was hoping to take a tour of one of the schools this upcoming weekend before making a final decision.

I was hoping I could accept my 2 offers for now, then pay the tuition deposit for the program I choose after. However, I'm afraid that accepting more than one offer might automatically cancel the other acceptance. Has anybody been in this position before?

Thanks

I had the same question. If you visit this site Spring Open House - Humber College, it says that the validity of the offer of admission is now extended until May 7. The Humber open house is on Saturday, May 5. So you'll have 2 days to decide.

Hi everyone!

I have been following this forum for a while and I thought that I should probably contribute!

I have applied to UofT, McMaster, Western, and Queen's for September 2018 entry. I have been accepted to everywhere but Queen's so far.

UofT and McMaster were my top choices. I received my acceptance to UofT on April 13th and then I had heard from McMaster about a week later. After taking some time to compare both programs, I finally made a choice that I am really happy with. I officially accepted my offer at UofT just two days ago!

I'll be seeing many of you there in September!

Is anyone else still waiting on trent? If I haven't heard anything yet should I just assume I'm not accepted?? I would just like an answer :(
