I'm applying to the second entry nursing program in February 2018 for Fall 2018 admission. I'm applying to York, Humber, Trent, Nipissing and potentially Western. I'll be applying with a BA in psych. This is probably super premature, but I wanted some reassurance from fellow applicants. I also wanted to know if anyone, past or previous applicants, know the weighting of Additional Information forms and how they're considered during the application process? I was diagnosed with ADHD during my second year of university, after being misdiagnosed two previous times, and it's certainly had an impact on my grades. My GPA is going to be something like 6.7 on a 9.0 scale. And this really has me worried. Has anyone else had any experiences with Add. Forms?
Good luck to all!
Got waitlisted for Humber, looks like I'm not getting in
A lot of people who got accepted early still have not accepted their offers, including myself! The deadline to accept is May 1st, so don't lose hope yet! Many people may decline and those on the waitlist will be contacted!!
Goodluck
Congratulations, if you don't mind me asking, is this where you want to go? I am a little on the fence about Uoft because as a UTM undergrad i found it a little difficult. If so, do you have any insight or plus points about the program :)
What did you do for your undergrad?? Yup U of T nursing is my top choice so I will be accepting! I know someone in their final year in the program and she loves it, especially the clinical aspect. Other than that I know about as much as everyone else!
For those who have gotten acceptances from York, my admission letter simply states that it's conditional on "proof of all degrees/diplomas earned." Does this mean that there is no minimum grade I need to achieve for my current courses? Aka is there anything that I could do outside of failing a course and not meeting my degree requirements for York to retract the offer? Thanks for the help.
If you're doing any pre-reqs, they need to be at least a B level. I would try to aim high though.

Thats awesome, i actually did a bachelors of science in biology and psychology. Im tryign to weigh my options :)
How are people deciding between schools? I applied to uOttawa, Western and UoT. I have looked at the NCLEX passing rates as well as the different clinical opportunities with each school but other than that I am unsure how to differentiate between programs. Does anyone (current applicants or students!) have any advice?

Maybe consider the student experience (if you plan to live on/off campus, how the housing is), or maybe even how far from home it is and if it would be possible to use transit to get home to see your family. consider the layout of the campus, more of nucleus, or scattered like UoT. Think about the location especially, do you like busier, downtown schools? And I would also take a look a student reviews or ratings such as lectures being too difficult or memorization based. And maybe even considering the style of learning, do you want PBL/ inquiry or a little more didactic?
I hope that helps a little bit!

I am having a similar problem as well, try to get your hands on course syllabus and talk to someone in the program, that really helps :)
I got accepted into UWO's compressed nursing program this Monday (April 9), after applying the day before the deadline (Feb 28). I've heard they can take as long as early June though, that's when my friend heard back from them last year. I'm currently in 4th year BMSc, my overall GPA is 3.94 and average is 89.3%, but my last two years were 3.92 and 88.4%.
Does anybody know when you hear back about Arthur Labatt Entrance Scholarships and what the average grade is for it? There's only 7 of them and they're $5000 each, but I have no idea when they decide on them and what people's grades tend to be for them.

Mine still shows as 'no decision.'
What's your GPA for the last year, if you don't mind my asking?
